You have multiple daleks and droids and scale tanks. How do you switch control between them? i.e. can you pair multiple receivers with one transmitter so that the one transmitter can control whichever device is powered on or do you swap the receiver module between each device whenever you want to change which device you are controlling (which is a pain) or do you have dedicated remote control and receiver for each device (which is a lot of unnecessary expense in remote control handsets)?

Hi, great car! Wondering, can the compressor be used continuously for hours or does it need rest periods? Looking to use it for stone sculpting with a pneumatic hammer.

We use it for a long time, this is the one with a 50 litre tank. It doesn't seem to overheat. We got it a couple of years ago, Hyundai do one with a larger, 100 litre tank in the same, oil free version.

Looking really good. Do you know what the top speed is? Being Electric it should be capable of the same speed in reverse as forwards but it looks as though you've limited the reverse speed. Is that done in your programmable remote control or in software in the truck itself?

Top speed approx 12-13 MPH. Bearing in mind this is a dual motor system, 4 wheel drive. There's no physical difference between forwards and reverse, but yes it's limited in the software in the radio, by about 60%. It makes it easier to drive, you don't need full speed going backwards. Obviously with the 100kg tank on it it doesn't go so fast..... Thanks for the question 👍👍👍🤤

A _full_ scale tank would be difficult to move but a 50% scale tank could still be driven from inside while being reasonable to transport.

I drive a truck with a trailer with a rear steer axle. We have 2 types. One works on a castor type system, but the one that relates to the trailer you are trying to build, the trailer steering works on a wedge in the fifth wheel. The pin on the trailer is on a turntable that uses the wedge to lock and locate with the trailer. When you turn, the turntable turns which in turn, through cables, turns the rear axle. Then a clutch system stops them turning beyond 40 degrees so the trailer can still be spun on the spot, dragging the axles. With multiple axles like you have, the axle turn ratios will step as you move back. The front axle will barely turn, but the rearmost will turn a lot. I'm not sure of the geometry, but I know if you look for Lego building plans online, someone would have done it in Lego. Might be a good starting point for a design of the trailer steering.

If you want the trailer to gently change lanes while pointing in the same direction, you want the front trailer wheels to turn in the same direction as the cab wheels. If you want the trailer to do a full turn, surely you want the trailer _rear_ wheels to turn _in the opposite direction_ to the cab front wheels? Some fire engines have this feature but it's so complicated that they often have a second driver just steering the trailer (as depending on the circumstances the trailer might want to do the same as the cab or the opposite of the cab)

The trailer steering runs on its own dedicated channel. What that means is that trailer wheels can be controlled in any way we want. Independently, or linked to the same direction as the truck wheels, or a percentage of the truck steering. Perhaps Mrs B could control the trailer and Master Maker the truck.... What could possibly go wrong?

Are there any other model shows that feature 1/6 scale lorries, tanks etc do you know, recently went to the one a Bovigdon Tank Museum 💕💕💕. The show was good but nothing like our tank there, and we wondered where / if shows with larger models happen, Master Maker remembers going to one at the royal show ground shepton mallet where they had boats, RC cars and 1/6 scale stuff too....

@@kevinwells768 we were wondering What's happening to these shows? There used to be a show at the royal show ground, Shepton Mallet that had planes, boats and RC of all types, including 1/6th scale. Now shows are mainly airfix or single area, eg the module show at tank museum, or model show at steam, Swindon which is about trains. Both excellent but we miss seeing 1/6 scale
