Flew Qatar in 2014 and it was far and above the best business class. Flew them earlier this year and they have declined massively. Emirates now a superior option in my humble opinion.
@GretasTravelsКүн бұрын
Oh that's interesting to know! I only flew with Qatar in 2024 so can't compare to previous years. It was still a pretty good flying experience, makes me wonder how good it must have been back then!
@bobkumar8754Күн бұрын
Emirates by far is superior to Qatar. Flew QR’s Q suite once again recently and it’s really gone downhill IMO. Food and service was just about on par but nothing above and beyond. EK is pushing the limit upwards at a rate of knots. EK also operates first class on nearly every route from Dubai but Qatar offers business only on many cities ex Doha.
@GretasTravelsКүн бұрын
Fair enough! I did enjoy my Emirates business class experience more, but I'll probably always end up choosing Qatar over Emirates for the One World Alliance and being able to redeem points across airlines.

Are you joking, it is beautiful but it's deadly, have you seen how many people have been found dead, limbs chopped off, bodies burnt, organs removed and more in those mountains, over 400 this last 4 years, young and old.

I was amazed to see that dress code at the temple was so relaxed with shorts and a loose sleeveless top. Is that really OK there? Buddhist temples usually require modest clothing with knees covered and sleeves here in Thailand. I'd love to be able to dress more freely for sightseeing, but obviously without causing offence.
@GretasTravels7 күн бұрын
Yes I was quite surprised too! I had a scarf and longer trousers with me to cover up but nobody asked me to. Compared to some Thai temples where they won't let you in it was definitely more relaxed! We had the same experience in other temples in Malaysia, there were definitely locals there that were more covered up, but it didn't seem to be a strict requirement for tourists

Thanks for this video. I'm visiting Mutianyu in a week's time. I only just realised that I may have a problem as I am afraid of heights. Are there narrow sections on the Mutianyu great wall? Would you suggest I just take the cable up instead of climbing/ walking up and take the slide down? Thanks. :)
@GretasTravelsАй бұрын
You will love Mutianyu! I didn’t find any of the sections particularly narrow, it’s all quite wide throughout, although there are some sections that are quite steep with steps. I took the cable car up so I can’t really say how the hike is sorry! But the cable car isn’t scary as it doesn’t really go that high up (compared to mountain ones say when you go skiing) it’s not that tall

Hey Greta! Thanks so much for the video, it has given me lots of inspiration as I'm planning to visit China next year. You mentioned at the end the video there would be parts of the itinerary you would change - what would you change? (i.e. would you spend more/less time in a certain area?). I would love feedback from people who have already been! :)
@GretasTravels2 ай бұрын
Hello! Thanks for your comment, I’m glad you enjoyed my video! It depends where you’re flying into China from, we started in Shanghai but I discovered after that the airline we flew with (Qatar Airways) also flies into Chengdu, so if I were to do it again I would start the itinerary there then do all the internal transfers in China via train and fly out of Shanghai. Just saves a little bit of travel time compared to flying into Shanghai and then flying back to Chengdu, and also gives you a bit of extra time for the train journey from Beijing to Shanghai to maybe stop one night in Suzhou. I wouldn’t spend any less time in any of the cities we visited, 2-3 days was the bare minimum to see the highlights, if anything I’d try to spend longer there! Hope this helps 😊
