@@oddlycurious8761My brothers band formed at a school of rock inspired music school with the nephew of the drummer for local band Broke City. His band opened for them at the velour a couple times. Victim effect formed at the same music school program I believe and we used to listen to then non stop and we were convinced they were gonna go big. A class mate in my band class claimed to be brothers with a Victim effect member and claimed they broke up because the lead singer was an ass and stole from the band. I always took that with a huge grain of salt because I didn't have any way to know if he was telling the truth nor is there any way to know the other side of the story. It is really interesting finding this comment so many years later. How did you hear about this? Did you know the band members personally. I am super curious because I remember them getting acknowledged by the Used and I thought they had so much potential so it was crazy to see them break up while they just started to blow up.

This was a special time. For me it was that special spark that we all shared. The feelings of innocent blissful naivety, the strong passionate heart, the hope we had that we could make the world a better place simply through hard work, great ideas and a pure heart, giving aid to any who needed it. The times when each setback no matter how severe it was, was healed by breathing fresh air and seeing the blue skies. Back when we still dared to dream of bringing peace and happiness to the world. There was nothing we novices couldn't overcome if we did not give up, in the future we would have our chance to change the world. All are inevitably replaced by the cold logic that arises from confronting the harsh reality of the world.

Almost nothing makes me cry. Only very specific things do, this was one of them, more so just simple and clean, but this being a softer version, made me lose it. This took me right back to the first time I ever experienced that intro. 9 years ago when I was 4. An amazing time I will never be able to truly relive, I’m just gonna go play kh1 for the hell of it and cry some more.

I never got into this game growing up, I was really young when it came out- but one of my most beloved people on this Earth has been playing it religiously since it came out when they were 10, and has been showing me "movies" of all the cut scenes and plot points to help me understand bc it's not really a play style I tend to get into. I can't remember how many times I've cried. I love these stupid kids so much and I think about them all the time. And to my best friend, who talked themselves out of legally naming themselves Roxas but used the middle name someone gave him in a fanfic to still be close to him- I don't know if you realize how much of *you* I'm seeing watching Sora and Roxas and all their friends, but it's making me love you that much more. Every step forward will always be a step toward home, my love.
