2024 hur and still hits me like a freight train of his masterful abilities on a simple slab of wood and steel. I promise I weep a tear for Jason and all the music he would have created. This life is so unfair sometimes with no absolute reason.

As a fellow shredder I saw Shawn in 1980 at a VA Beach club. I was 18, he was 17. He was with Black Oak. Talk about being slammed back to earth. This guy was incredible back then also. His style was much more refined by the 90"s he was and is my hero and inspiration. unreal. He left us way before his time...😪

What I like about AAL is exactly what I don’t like about Vai. Vai’s music has no substance. 100% magic illusion. AAL is pure substance. No tricks. Straight up business. Never liked Vai. His stage antics are cringe and his albums are lazy. Not sure how they’re related. Vai is extremely overrated. His image is what made him popular not his playing. There’s better players with no image.

Seeing these videos now it amazes me Becker still has better, more diverse guitar, more musical technique than the army of KZbin shredders we see so many of today, and this video is from the very same year he was diagnosed with ALS and quickly lost his ability to play. I've read that ALS reversals are possible, if rare, and I don't know if anyone ever can get back to normal from decades suffering from this nightmare disease but always keep hopes high that it will happen. It can happen to anyone.

Dude was a legend... once in a lifetime... 99% of you play guitar watching this,... you know the feelling... the same feeling got you into guitar... this guy was once in a lifetime.. he had soul.. spirit... all I can say is "wow", not because of the guitar playing , BECAUSE OF THE SOUL!

Jimmy Herring is a blessing to all of us guitar players. If you haven't seen him play with Widespread Panic, then you're robbing yourself. He's unbelievably, obviously.

Love how the static at the intro turns the first chorus "reveal" into a trainwreck as opposed to the distinctly major sound. He probably played it perfect too

Speed - Jason, yngwie, paul g. John p. Creativity - Joe satch, vai, van halen Blues rock - SRV, jimi hendrix, eric j. These guitarists first comes in my mind , when I was asked. So many to mention, all of them are expert in their own way.
