Correct. You can get a wireless card, but it changes the interface. I don't recommend it. This works on the TASKalfa models that are 3 series and newer. It can be an option on the 2 series TASKalfa.

Interesting hmm..... Today, I can't behave and find the answer. I can only type upon my keyboard with one finger now that summer is over and I have to deal with the assault of fall. Boy, I have to exhaust all of my resources to answer your beauty of a question, but my stereo is blasting and I am over-thinking it. I hope this helps.

How do I get rid of the notification when I select a file to scan into. Each time I scan it pops up and on some days I scan A LOT and each scan needs to be its own scan I can't just shove em all in at once. So the notification is a time waster for me and would REALLY appreciate how to get rid of it. It is only when I hit where I am sending the scan to.

Destination check before send( which is set to off) Entry check for new Destination (set to off) New destination entry Recall Destination Broadcast And a cpl more that have nothing to do with my issue. The last 3 are saying permit. There is no key for me to hot to stop the pop up im getting

Is it happening on copies or prints and copies? Could be a sensor, but it could be something more if it is happening on both. This is definitely a technician call and not a fix it yourself thing.

Hi Hails! Begin by cleaning your glass. You may have dust or a goober on it that is causing it to not be able to focus. Make sure your original is facing the right direction with the arrows. Otherwise, it might be dust on one of the sensors. If that is the case you would need to place a service call. In the same area, there is a drum and developer refresh. You can do those too and revisit the color calibration. If you send me an email, I can send you a guide. [email protected]

Hi Mike, Tray 1 is a true bypass tray. Make sure that it is closed otherwise it will always pull from that tray first. Once it is closed, make sure the media types are set in tray two and three. Make them different for what is set on tray 1. Go to the control panel on your computer and right click on your printer. Under preferences set the media type to the same as what is in tray 2 and 3. Save your changes. If it suggests that windows should keep track of your preferences, decline it. Print a document and make sure the correct media type is set. It should stop yelling at you. I hope this helps. Please respond if you need more guidance.

Great Question! When you log into KFS, on the top right hand side is the Administration menu. Click in and select groups. Click on the group and highlight it. On the right hand side you will see a circle with an "i" in it. Click on that and you will have the group identifiers including the access code. Using this code will allow you to add a device to that group. We suggest building a group for each client and a subgroup for each building location for that client. The access code should be done at the main group level.

Is it possible to require password when printing from USB on Taskalfa 3511i? I;d like to restrict that to users with login credentials only.

You can do it leveraging Kyocera Net Manager. I would say the Kyocera 3511i devices are considered end of life. Leaving your USBs open would be considered a security risk to your device if it is networked.

Windows will keep your settings from the last time you printed within individual programs. When you change default printers etc. a pop up will come up that asks you to "allow windows to make changes to your defaults" Select no. Which one is preferable, Job accounting or local user authentication? I had chosen the latter in a bid to restrict access - we're a large institution. Now I've created 10 local accounts meaning only those 10 can access the printer after logging in. This has brought a new problem. Now none of us can print wirelessly or connect the pc via USB to the taskalfa 3511i. After sending the print job, the printer receives the signal, and requests a log in, after logging in, the print job ends in error stating that the password is wrong. My thinking is it has something to do with printer driver settings so that print jobs from PC whether wireless or otherwise don't require the password. Update! Through your videos I've been able to print from pc. Your video on installing printer was the problem solver. Now we can print however i didn't turn on job accounting, i only have user authentication enabled. Can i have both while still maintaining my already created user account names or does job accounting completely require new Account IDs?

If you are a larger institution you should consider looking at something like PaperCut or MyQ. Both work with Kyocera and are made for large institutions like yours. They make the printers easier to manage because users can authenticate using a badge or fob and collect their prints from ANY device within the environment.

Yes! If it is not being listed as an option, you will need to go into the device properties on your control panel printer installation and make sure you have the booklet finisher options checked rather than the regular finisher. Let me know if you need me to make a video for you.

If you want it to be the same size as the ID, you would need to put in a custom size. You do it using continuous scan and the platen glass. Once you get it to work, I would save it as a favorite. Would you like me to do a video for you?

On the front of the device on the right hand side of the large panel is a clear door with a red button. DO NOT UNPLUG THE DEVICE AS IT CYCLES DOWN. It can make the device act funny on start up the next time it is on.

These printers unless specifically saved, only have functional memory. They are continually rewriting their history. You have to have a specific reason to go digging and what anyone would find would be very fragmented. There are wipes that you can do for the whole device, but it sets it back to factory settings.
