Nice vid thanks, i learned of a couple of things to add to my own big kit which is a bag i keep in the back of each car. But i include in it spare clothing and a towel, which are arguably the most used items in it! I like the idea of the eye drops as it's the sort of thing you hardly ever need but when you do, you do. I also carry things like toilet paper and energy gels

Made in America = $100 for a $30 hoodie 😂
@pmgalves197716 күн бұрын
As an European, I really don’t know what to interpret from statements like “it’s made in America”. Does it mean It’s not for me? That i’d pay more for shipping and taxes? That it automatically means it’s more quality for some arbitrary reason? 🤷🏻♂️
@AtHomeInTheFuture16 күн бұрын
For Americans, anything that’s made domestically (especially clothing) is typically made quite a bit better (and in working conditions that are more ethically sound). European made goods are typically thought of in the same light.
@360theosiris16 күн бұрын
For me, made in America is the opposite of appealing. Because usually it’s as or more expensive than more qualitative alternatives. Eg leatherman vs victorinox multitools. So I either prefer cheap Chinese stuff for some things, knowing it will be dubious quality or more expensive Euro stuff of superb quality. American made is often more expensive and still dubious quality. At least that’s my experience so far.
@ke653316 күн бұрын
For Americans, so many of our goods are produced in Asia (China, Korea, Vietnam or Taiwan). "Made in America" usually means it will be more expensive but with higher quality because standards in QC and manufacturing are better...usually.

I got a rolling square charging cable based on your review and it arrived DOA. Beware. Took the Scrubba bag on a trip to Switzerland and Italy last summer, absolute game changer to have to never worry about laundry. We went through all our detergent sheets and bought some more in Switzerland. This is something I will never leave on a foreign trip without. Thank you for the recommendation.
@AtHomeInTheFuture17 күн бұрын
Maybe swap that out or hit up their tech support? I’ve got like 5 of those that I use all the time - maybe you got a dud. Yes, the Scrubba is awesome!

Whats a deadbolt? is it an american thing? dont think we have it her ein the EU
@AtHomeInTheFuture17 күн бұрын
Interesting - it’s like the main thick lock found on most American doors. Houses typically have a small lock on the door knob, and then a thick latch called a dead bolt over here. Host hotels just have the bolt.

I’ve got some Hoka trail shoes that I LOVE for hiking. For every day (which is largely how I wear these), I find the Hokas feeling a little too big/cushy. The Ons feel just right to me.

" the iPhone of Electric Bikes " That's great, so it comes with one year of support, built-in obsolescence, craps out when you update the firmware, requires two-factor authorization to use any function other than turning on the light and it's built by small children in Asia. The iPhone of bikes, indeed.

I’ve had the Chase Sapphire/Freedom combo for years. Yes, you can decent rewards points, BUT it really limits what hotels, airlines, rental cars, etc when it comes time to purchase. Also, the ability to cancel or change reservations is a major pain. Using a cash back card is the way to go. You’re not limited.
@AtHomeInTheFutureАй бұрын
Chase travel portal is wide open for me; just major savings if you book a Hyatt (which we do 80% of the time) I’m also able to cancel and change stuff super easy - just like using Expedia or whatever. You can always dump your points as cash back too - just worth way more as points.

This is ALOT of stuff! I’ve found that if you take maybe two months and write down everything you use daily, at the end you’ll see you really don’t carry much at all. Throwing in a few hours extras like a mini first aid and you’re set. Many of the items listed here I would be surprised if I ever took out of the bag at all. Too much unnecessary weight and clutter for me.
