That large area where the stairs are located would be perfect for a workshop/armory. You could put workbenches, gun lockers/lockers and tables in there. That small room next to the bar should definitely be a small kitchen/food storage. You could make the area by the bar where the tables are your entertainment/ living area. You could also put a freezer or 2 down there

I did want to get metal bars up on the windows with some metal sheets in-between. I was going to grab some gun cabinets from the police station but too low level to grab them. I was going to replace a few crates with the army crates when I find some too. I definitely want to get some more chairs and couches near that fireplace, the next episode (currently editing) i found some wicked furniture that would go great there. Once I get the level required without breaking the cabinets I'm definitely gotta reorganize the weapons, the gun store next door is still packed with ammo. Got no were to put it just yet lol.

@@captnoddball make sure you use some bear skin rugs and not just regular ones. I need a proper legit armory area from you tho. I have seen 1 good workshop yet. I like realism and a person would surely have a well stocked weapon area with workbenches

That would look so cool next to the fireplace, I'm going to need tons of them lol. I always wanted to section off an area of a room with a chain linked fence to "secure" my weapons and I think that would look so neat surrounding the tables to "lock up" the armory

There's a few options you have but you would need to start a new map. You could play in sandbox mode or builder (zombie count extremely low). Sandbox mode you have a ton of options to fine tune the zombie count. There was one option called "rally group seperation", that deals with how many zombies are allowed to clump near each other. In build 41 I had mine set at from 15 default to 25 and crowds seemed a bit more manageable. Drunkonlife had a really good video that talks about sandbox settings for build 42.

Yea I dunno what I was thinking lol. My idea was to saw the logs in safety then go out to board em up. Think I just got carried away and went to auto pilot lol. I'll probably switch them around in-between ep 7 and 8, just wrapped up recording ep 7 today. Didnt see any in the immediate area around the base so i might be safe from them coming up to knock on the windows looking for a cup of sugar lol.

Please, note that generators have a maintenance level. When it's getting too low, it caches fire (at approx. 18% or less). I saw that happening many times ... Some players really burned down all of their belongings. Apart from that, well done - as usual !!!

Dang I didn't know you could go that low before it would catch fire, I normally never go below 50%, most of the time once it hits 80% I'll start throwing random bits in. Atleast for b41. Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Nice! I'm glad you clicked on my channel! From what I experienced so far I'm enjoying it. The combat I love so far, it seems easier if it makes sense. I always played fast shambles vs random so now I'll get a trickle of zombies vs all at once. Crafting seems clunky but they said it'll get smoothed. I also haven't crafted that much yet in b42 to really get the feel of it. Loving the stealth play, easier to lose them thats for sure.

@@captnoddball yeah, I'm still kind of a noob tbh. I played a lot on the Harvest multiplayer server for a while, but that was with a gang and we were hunting other players more than zombies. So in a way I'm glad that they revamped things now, since there's not too much to relearn. I just wish I could host a game already, my daughter and I play Zomboid together and B42 has so much there that I think is going to make it more fun for us.

Nothing wrong with that, I have over 800 hours now I think and I still feel like a noob lol. I get bit in the dumbest ways. Hell my one death I caught myself ny auto walking in to a campfire and forgot to eat quick to heal 😆 yea I could see b42 being amazing for multiplayer due to the occupations now. That's pretty cool you guys play together! I totally forgot about b42 having no multiplayer just yet lol

@ oh yeah, I am getting better at the actual game. I'm basically superman compared to the compatriot of mine lol. Yeah, she loves it. I had her young, so we play a few games together. Just can't do roblox though. Bleh. She's 12, so I think it's a great game for her age where, yes, it's scary and gory, but it's also isometric so it's not like she's seeing how horrific it actually would be.

Thanks and I'm glad you love my gameplay! If you ever get a chance to get zomboid I highly recommend. You get sucked in so much with the characters you make and feel the pain that they feel or when they die. Then you could do the whole recovering the fallen and give them a burial if you're lucky.

You got a good voice! Like your editing. Your commentary's not loud and obnoxious or slow and boring. Perfect balance! Really enjoyed this. Also, I'm a new player, and you're making me realize I should probably use weapons a lot more instead of just stomping most the time to save item condition. It looks a lot more fun.

Thanks you're too kind! That's good to hear and welcome to project zomboid! Yea don't be afraid to use weapons more, melee wise (guns could be very tricky early on if not too familiar with gun play). If it's day one and the only weapon you could find is a frying pan/skillet then I'll do more stomping till I could find a back up weapon/better one. The pans break quicker vs a hammer. Short blunt is pretty common so if you found a hammer more than likely you'll find another short blunt or a better back weapon before it breaks. And here's to your many deaths!

29:57 I haven't since checked police stations since B42.1, but the loot is almost non existent in them for some reason. Muldraugh PD is crawling with the little buggers, it also is quite large and may have a lot of loot. You may be better off traveling to gun stores for firearms. The ammunition in the Army surplus store northwest of Rosewood is unfathomable, at least a van full of just ammunition. I filled a 412 KG trailer from the Surplus store and the gun store up the road, had to play Tetris to fit it all. There are 600+ Zeds in the town though, that might be why Westpoint PD had almost no loot, I think B42 increased risk vs reward for some POI's. Happy to see the lag issue sorted out.

I cant wait till I start traveling out to the gun shops out west for a proper loot run. I'm hoping to have some luck with guns in the rich neighborhoods, atleast thats what it seemed like in b41 for guns and ammo in houses. That and trailer parks. I also gotta check out the police pickup out back, I kept forgetting about it. I'm hoping there would be some useful stuff in it atleast lol. I cant wait to check out Muldraughs glow up and how insane it is there!

I did find some seed packs that i didn't plant yet, think they were mainly herbs and barely I think. Still debating on where to exactly have my farm. I have an idea, just gotta clear out some trees first. I believe I already have those, I do go back to grab things when it calmed down.

Just a reminder. You can loot all zombies and you can make graves for them to prevent sickness. It might be helpful around your base.

I did take the important stuff off them off camera, I'm not around them too much/long to get sick from them so I'm just letting them go away naturally. Plus good for getting maggots for fishing.

2:30 On normal population multiplier Muldraugh police station is absolutely filled with zeds, 200+ in the parking lot alone, another 100 surrounding it by day 12, who knows how many inside. It was so dense I had to drive another route. I could swear I was in Louisville. Other areas like the warehouses just of the intersection of Muldraugh also have 300+ zeds. I think Westpoint was toned down, I've only been in the downtown section though. Interestingly Rosewood has much more population.

It sounds like Muldraugh is gonna be really fun by the time I get there then lol. During the recording of episode 5 and I started to record ep 6 briefly but it looks like the population in the west is finally starting to push east. I also forgot that the developers mentioned that your spawn surrounding won't be as populated and since I spawned in downtown it makes complete sense on why it wasn't as populated, not sure how big of an area they were talking about tho.

@@captnoddball I'm basing at twiggy's, trying to make an imprenetable (and well decored) fort from it, and yeah, west point population is scary, but I play with higher pop but no respawns, so at some point it should be fary safe, though I'm kind of scared to go anywhere near Louisville with increased pop

Finally some smokes! I wonder if you've got some mod conflict effecting the drop rates, but I've run into patches of bad luck like that before. Having spent some time in Kentucky in the 90's, having a hard time locating tobacco is the most inaccurate thing that could happen

I nearly broke the chair for the jump of joy i had lol. I did tweak the rarity for loot even lower and selected another category to be even lower since the last death, the smokes must have been in that category lol.

What mod do you use to bring your characters back to life?

I just remake them and start a new map or continue a map. You technically could bring characters back to life (minus kill stats/days survived) by loading up debug mode and after loading in a new character you could increase the skill levels on them. I spawned in a mini gun with level 10 aiming equals easy mode lol

The zomboid gods deemed it would be more entertaining for them when my characters would struggle lol. I think the only break they're allowed to have is finding pocket jerky 😂

I believe the generators are scripted for the interiors and are tied to the batteries in the trailers/rv's

I didn't even think about checking to see if the trailers had batteries for the interior mod. I always thought I glitched the trailer when I'd connect a genny near it when having the truck unhooked by it. Gonna have to remember to check it out, thanks!

@7:17 Not really. You can use a hunting knive or katana to decimate the hordes, use a shotgun or burn them with molotov, house fire, etc. BTW. I really enjoyed the insane population setting but I maxed out the stats in "-debug" mode first.
