After a melee attack, press YY. Of course, you need a secondary weapon, or it won’t work.

@@RifleAlex Yeah, you were getting killed in this match way more than you usually do bc of this dynamic vs your playstyle... You're usually ambushing people- but on this map, you were getting ambushed a lot.

Cool, man! I have this game on CD (the original one, from 2001) from my parents, so there are not advencements... :( But you can do the same thing for Halo: Reach. Respect!

Thanks! For Reach, it will probably more complicated because there is a non-negligible part of the achievements that must be done in Xbox Live MM which closed in early 2022.
