Hung out with them on the Blues Cruise with Earl Thomas

Thanks, Paddy. Although I am no where near the skill level to play this, I am persevering to learn the blues for my own enjoyment. I love the theory even though my 70 year old fingers tend to protest!

Hey Paddy..my name is Michael(Slim) from Spacecoast Florida and have been watching hour tutorials for a couple years now and love the teaching style you have..my favorite player has always been James Booker who i met in New Orleans back in 1978 at the Maple Leaf..i was attending junior college there for a couple semesters and tried my best to get up close and watch his left hand which was phenomenal..i cant seem to pick up on that Booker style left hand where he breaks the 10ths down in between and throws in a bounced off two fingered Sixth(two half chords) to get back to the root..G in the case of your one Booker tutorial..can you please do another videos dissecting this hand/chord movement just a weee bit slower..im sure that then i could conceptualize how the timing for me could work better!!..at your merciful convience please..youre the only one on KZbin that demonstrates Booker the best!!..if you can demo some easy ways to "OCTAVATE" The right hand while doing these left handed syncopations i would be indebted to you for life!!..lol..thanks teacher! and happy trails

Brilliant playing. Im wondering what is the most common key to play blues and boogie woogie in. do guitarists play blues in some keys more often than other keys. love the videos.

Hi Paddy, can’t wait to get into them. Could you possibly help me understand the kind of style Lafayette Leake played with Chuck Berry on Johnny B Goode and Roll Over Beethoven for example, because there doesn’t seem to be much out there about him. Thanks.
