Hello! What telemetry overlay software are you using?
@jsigone

Came with the Insta360 AcePro camera using their mobile app. Wish there was a plug in for Adobe from Insta360, The overlay feature isn't there on the windows desktop software.

How are you able to run a 255 all around? What’s your wheel specs?
@jsigone
@jsigone 2 жыл бұрын
RPF1 18x8.5 +40 with 5mm spacer up front, mild roll rear. Follow the APEX guide to fit 17x9 wheels +52. Volume space is still the same but swap 255/40-17tires for 255/35-18. Same fitment applies. Most is the front coilover, you have to get the lower perch at or above the tire. I'm using ST XTA with helper spring removed. The other options were almost twice the price. Link to Apex fitment www.apexraceparts.com/blog/new-apex-17x9-track-fitment-for-bmw-1-series/?_gl=1*yxu4e1*_ga*MTA5NzkxMDY3My4xNjYwMTg3NDMw*_ga_3EQ3CF7F5X*MTY2MTgzNzc1OC4yLjAuMTY2MTgzNzc1OC42MC4wLjA.*_fplc*bzVxZlc1TjVSJTJGSSUyRnRUMlhEWmQzcDY5RU5sTzBlaVNoeEtKbnA5QzFZa2l3T2FhUEt0YXFHRUhOWTRMbEtPRmJXWnIlMkZiSHZyRVF0cDF1Q1hJSU9reDUxUWhDbkJGeGI5bEYlMkJFWDFiMml3MHpvTm5oVHBXNWI2dFpNTWphNFElM0QlM0Q.

@@jsigone thanks man for the reply really appetizing it. Ya I’m running fortune autos coils with a 17x8.5 +40 square with w 235/40 so I was seeing how I could get more tire out of it. I’ll take a look at that link

@@jsigone Great vid Jeff! i’m glad that I came across your video as I was researching as to how I can go about getting 255 tires under the car without rubbing(do you rub at all)…i also have the ST XTA units, do you notice any negative side effects without running that helper spring?… Would you mind sharing your camber rates, front and rear?… What are you using for sway bars and how would you characterize the handling of your vehicle with the 255s versus the stock 225s? Many thxs!!!
@jsigone
@jsigone Жыл бұрын
@@andreagate542 I followed the Apex 17x9 fitment guide but at the time I got tired of waiting for 9" wide wheels with better offset closer to +50 (waited 9months). I got the RPF1 that tire rack had in stock. they are +40 offset so less than ideal in rears, running 5mm spacer up front. Rear gas tank side rubs on big dips. I tried to roll rear fender, but need to get more camber out of it before I resort to cutting. Rolling is hard on the rear fender because they use filler compound between the 2 layers of sheet metal. Fronts rolled very easy and hardly ever rub. Same volume of space applies to 18" rims just one tire size smaller. I don't see a downside to not having the front helper springs in. It's been a year already and shocks didn't blow up so that's good. I did wear through front tires cuz the heavy camber needed. Car handles so good so it's all worth it. Totally transforms the handling and gets rid of that nasty understeer from skinny front tires. Very close handling to my old evoX. I left in stock sways, I wanted to see how it felt, was pretty neutral and didn't want stiffer M3 bar to cause over steer since this is a street car. I'd like some room for error. I did change rear shock bushing and added Whiteline drop in rear sub frame bushings as well to limit the backend movement. Link again for steps and cambers requirements www.apexraceparts.com/blog/new-apex-17x9-track-fitment-for-bmw-1-series/

I have the straight pipe "race" version w/ the balance pipe between them. Debated on the street version but I want to hear the car and figured it can't be as loud as my AMG. Low speeds it louder/more bass than the C63 with Remus but when the revs are flying under boost it's seems quieter than AMG. Either way still happy with it, still have middle pipe res and cat so room to piss neighbors off even more 😆

Personally I'd set fast follow to slow follow (for smoothness) and set gimbal mode to "tilt lock", and press "recenter" before riding off. But I confess, I've never tried the Pocket 2 on a bike!
@jsigone
@jsigone 3 жыл бұрын
thanks I'll give the slow follow a try!! Today, I rode it in fast follow and tilt lock. I used the DJI app to get FOV I wanted. Seemed smooth even over really rocky sections.
@Ozpeter
@Ozpeter 3 жыл бұрын
@@jsigone Ah, I did wonder whether you'd used tilt lock or not - in the earlier part the view was a bit downwards, but of course typical of where a cyclist would be looking to avoid hitting a fallen tree! I preferred it where you included the horizon later. But of course, just personal taste.
@jsigone
@jsigone 3 жыл бұрын
@@Ozpeter this one is not using the tilt lock, the video I posted on Quail Run was in tilt lock and was able to get the FOV I wanted and it held pretty good over the course of the ride no matter what riding position I was on the bike at.
