I had one of my "brilliant" insights today. I thought the Chimp Paradox strategies could be used to help manage ADHD. As usual, straight to Google. I was pleased to see some on the internet had made the same connection but disappointed that it was so few when you consider how many ADHDers are on the internet. It led me here but I was staggered to see just 63 views, 1 like, and zero comments when this was posted 5 months ago. Why do I think The Chimp Paradox has something to offer ADHDers? In the last 2 months, I have successfully followed Dana K White's approach to decluttering. It is a low-key approach that worked for me. It changed my habits. I realize that creating new positive habits is key to compensating for poor executive function or training the CHIMP. I was hoping to learn here from the experience of others treating ADHD as belonging to their CHIMP. No luck! I will give it a go for a while and come back here in a month to let you know how it goes.

Very interesting - so true about the use of phone modes. I have created a “Reading” mode which turns off all notifications etc and no apps on Home Screen apart from the reading apps like audible kindle, speechify etc.

I procrastinate because of fear. I'm afraid of not being perfect. I stopped making plans , ( what I really need is structure), because if I don't achieve all the things on the list I feel like a failure.

Thanks for sharing @pattyatrumdycreations134 It's completely normal to feel that way! Remember, progress is more important than perfection. Taking small steps can help you build the structure you need without overwhelming yourself. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like any help with creating a structure: adhdgoals.co/adhd-coaching/
