Then you shouldn't have pinche flats, if you have then either your tire is not centered on your rim or you got too little air in it, speaking from experience

I think $ 100 a wheel is absurd
@RimSaverАй бұрын
Totally get it-$100 a wheel seems outrageous, right? But when you think about saving a $100 tire, a $150+ rim, and a $150 wheel rebuild, it makes sense. Imagine ruining your ride because you didn’t use a tire insert and having to hike out while your friends ride on. And for carbon rims? A $400 replacement would sting! The best part? You don’t have to buy it! I think $12,000 bikes are absurd too, but some people still want them. It’s fine if it’s not your thing!

Looks good. How does it handle pinch flats compared to foam type inserts?
@RimSaverАй бұрын
Rim Saver is great at preventing pinch flats. It sits in front of the rim's flange, where the tire would typically get caught between a rock and the rim. Instead of the rock cutting into the tire, it compresses the Rim Saver, protecting both the rim and the tire.

@@JackIredale1994 it’s a Lezyne pressure overdrive pump. It’s pretty good, it does take some time to thread on and off the pump onto the valve but it works well.

Great question! First off, we are focused on an easy installation process. Check out our website savetherims.com and you can see Rim Saver increases in diameter during install to get out of the way of the tire beads. The other difference is that we use a more dense material that is better at absorbing the sharp impacts that foam cannot. Rims can still break with foam inserts as it gets cut through, we focus on just those sharp impact to keep your rim and tire safe.

Can it be run with a foam inserts? Would make the ultimate run flat tire combo
@RimSaver3 ай бұрын
That's a great question! In theory, it could work. You could run a Rim Saver inside and then use a looser-fitting foam insert around it. At Rim Saver, our goal is to address the root cause of flat tires. We believe that by eliminating pinch flats and rim dings, which are primary causes of flat tires, there's no need to carry around a heavy and slow run-flat tire. Since bicycles are human-powered, wheel weight makes a huge difference. While some people might be willing to use a run-flat, most (including myself) prefer not to. With Rim Saver, we drastically decrease the likelihood of getting a flat in the first place!
