A little tip for putting all the pipes back in the stove is to, stand it up on the back panel then put the grate on the side standing up inside, then put 1 regular pipe in each corner inside, then put the pipe with the knob facing downward in the center, so the pipes are like a five on a dice 🎲, the spark arrestor and ash tool fit inside the regular pipes. I hope that this helps everyone. God bless you and America 🇺🇸

You promised a comparison video with the KingCamp stove. The King Camp allows you to top load the stove by lifting the top. The WinnerWell requires you to awkwardly bend your head almost to the ground to see and load the firebox.

Good point on the zippers. In the UK the firehiking costs a lot more so the onetigris wins.

I was enjoying your video until-------I noticed rust on your hatchet. That's a sin that can not be forgiven. 🤠 Nice job. I have a smaller version of this tent, and it has served me well for the past two years. Handles snow well, but just like any other tent, care has to be taken to keep heavy snow cleared. Personally, I believe FireHiking makes good gear. I hope you have been enjoying your set-up. Now, about that hatchet.😉

I have a cheap top lander tipi with single zippers. I've found that i can reach the zipper by striking a pose like spider man landing a jump with my arm parallel to the tent and one knee bent, one on the ground. Maybe my shoulder will encounter condensation but i don't have to lay down to unzip the tent. Two zipper pulls would be better and they should all have them but it's not so bad. Edit: i just checked and there's no need to have my knee hit the ground but there is a fair amount of body contact with the tent.

I hate to say, but the onetigris tent was NOT set up correctly; which is why it looks so janky. The Rock Fortress has WAY more room when set up correctly. The guy lines create a ton of space; which as you can see in the video, did not work at all.

Dont know anything about the firehiking tent but i have purschased 2 hot tents and a stove from one tigris. Had the "4" person tipi which i used twice a month, two nights each, and it held up very well for the past three yrs. I now have the rock fortress and haved used it a few times this past winter and am very happen with it. It did seep a little through the seams but i just used the seam sealer i have already and didnt have an issue with it since. Very roomy compared to the smaller tipi, obviously. Can comfortably fit two cots and a stove + dog.the stove i got was a round stove wich didnt really do great. -one tigris military wood stove- not enough front air i take on the door so they added another to the rear which would just mess up the flow and after a few uses it just didnt seal. Tents im very happy with. Beleive i paid $220 shipped. Stay away from their "military" round stove. Not good in my opinion.

Nice little stove. How long will a burn last when packed with wood for the night? Obviously it will depend on the type of wood. Also... have you ever looked into the "Four Dog Stove Company" out of Minnesota? The only size he's making now in the steel version, is the "Three Dog." It's probably the best built wood stove for hot tent use I've ever seen, and compared to most of these stoves, the price is right. The only thing I don't like about it, is they don't offer a Three Dog with windows.
@CampOUTLife10 ай бұрын
I would have to add wood every hour to keep it topped off. Normally I let it go out in the middle of the night and not worry about getting up every so often to fill it. I just looked at Four Dog Stove Company... a couple of those stoves are out of my price range... but they do look solid. The Little Dog has a gasket around the door. Would be nice to get my hands on one of these to try out. Can never have too much camping gear.

Also... nice to have hear from a fellow Texan.
@DeanFromTexas10 ай бұрын
@@CampOUTLife Likewise! I love Texas! Also... ALL of the steel stoves he offers - and perhaps he is selling more than just the Three Dog at this point - he has I believe a Two Dog through Five Dog, but I digress... they ALL have a gasket around the door. In addition, I believe they also have a sheet of steel a few inches below the stove pipe, which comes toward the front - this forces the heat/smoke to go basically to the front of the stove, then up and back to reach the stove pipe. (There's a name for that, but I can't think of it)
