Yo the second movement is a crazy tempo. Your band is struggling to keep up/together! Just played this with OSU and trust, 152 is much easier to play!

Why does Junkin play the first Mvt so slow? Sounds like it's gonna grind to a halt at any moment

I thought at first Appian Way was way too slow but then upon listening repeatedly, I changed my mind. The tempo really adds to the drama and build up of the music. Really and truly an outstanding performance; soloists were incredible.

It's been a while since I listened to music for the musicality of it, but this got me back into it. Hearing this makes me realize how majorly my high school band slaughtered it. Sounded like they were rooting more for the evil side.

We played this at Gonzaga University, and it is my favorite concert we have done. 📯 I loved playing Bookmarks as well. Julie really knows how to write beautiful, moving music. She writes to the strength of each instrument.
