Steffen dude : y love how you show low gear price . Its a joy see you Also you play amazing dude. Y have in the past ( fenders japan, real 70s and 50s strats, and two custom fenders) and i realize that the key to sound good its how yo feel whit the instrument. That squier standar its amazing . If yo change the tunners yo have a clasic vibe . ( THE TRUTH IS THAT ITS FALSE THAT A 1000 GUUTAR ITS BETTER THAN A 400. Take care mu friend big huge

Thanks for the heart! I just listened to this track again and it is very crisp, and uniquely your own. When I have time I will be delving deeper into your music. The bass playing is stellar and the drumming is…. I started to say world class, maybe that’s too strong, but his playing is just spot on. Curious if you guys ever make it down to Berlin for a live show?

Hey man. Thank you 👍mostly I use a Fender tele with humbuckers.... and often a strat with Gold Lace pickups...or EMGs...but I also like normal strat singlecoils. I'm not so fond of normal tele singlecoils.

Need your advice please. I can't get in touch with lace sensor team support for almost a month now. Do you know what is the difference between gold and hot gold apart from the 0.2kom resistance difference? I'm just trying to choose a set of pickups, right now I have a dAllen echoes classic singles similar to cs69 and two bridge options 7 and 14 kom via push pull. I like the sound of a thin single in bridge in mid + bridge position so i afraid of thicker bridge pickups in general. But lack of versatility and good sounding no harsh bridge is needed , so I'm considering combination of gold for middle and neck (because I really like crystal clear bell like sound with punchy bass, as far as I know hot version sounds much thicker ) and 13.2 hot gold for bridge or purple. Is this hot gold 13kom not too thick for clean staff compared to classic single coils or classic golds? I see you may like tones similar to my prefers (like Dann Huffs 80s cleans) so decided to ask. Sorry for lot of text. Also do you know how lace pickups should be wired. series or parallel? i know on classic single coils set - middle pickup is usually rwrp, to make 2/4 position noiseless when they works in parallel. but lace gold comes with standart wiring, so, are they wiring in series when you load your pickguard with golds?
@steffenbrix23 күн бұрын
Hey man. I have guitars both with Golds and Hot Golds. Golds are already slightly thicker than singlecoils. In a nice way. Hot Golds will get you closer to a texas blues neck sound. But I find the normal Golds to be most versatile. And I prefer those. They have a nicer pos 2 sound. Since they are very low noise all the positions are the same pickups with identical wiring. I would not go for the 13K bridge. That would destroy the classic pos 2 sound that I love. That's my take 😊
@les711823 күн бұрын
@@steffenbrix@steffenbrix Thank you much for fast and detailed feedback. Than i'll go with classic golds in neck and middle. I was afraid too about loosing position 2 sound with changing bridge to something hot. But still need some thickness for distortion leads and long lasting notes when heavily use tremolo and for some high gain riffs. Placing 6.0 kom hot gold in bridge will not give enough of thickness, how do you think?

Proof that these aren't just beginner guitars as marketed. They are just solid strats for people that want bang for buck and don't mind what the headstock says, they let their playing do the talking.
