Great vídeo and very helpfull. I will travel to rhe Lofoten islands this year. Can you tell me if you payed your expenses with card or money? In main Norway, people say you do not need fisical money, but I do not know if it’s the same in the Lofoten islands. Thanks

Paying to see it is a rip-off. I saw it as a boy in the 60s for nothing. There were mole hills everywhere. I even touched the stones. Funny though I never transported to ancient Scotland!😂

Unfortunately, car rental @ Moskenes seems to be not possible anymore. It looks like car rental starts @ Bodø to bring the car over by boat to Moskenes. Although the car charges in the boat fare, it's a great option to be flexible exploring Lofoten. Great suggestion buying stuff @ a supermarket in Bodø and bring it over to Lofoten for the first days of exploring.

Hello, what exactly dates did you visit Lofoten? My husband and I are on the fence about visiting this year because my vacation time is between September1-11 and we were worried about experiencing bad weather everyday.

Question! We are planning our trip for May and I have not really seen anyone just fly directly into Svolvaer/into the lofoten islands. Is there a reasons for this? It almost seems easier to do I this, but I’m starting to worry that there might be a reason why I’m not seeing that?
@adventuresofkatnate72902 жыл бұрын
Hey Steffi! Ahh great question, to be honest I can’t remember why but at the time it was extremely difficult to find any information to get there, and I think we didn’t fly because Of the timeframe we had, for flights in and out and budget we had for the trip.. if there is flights and it works in with your budget and timeframe, I’m sure it will be fine :)

Thanks Kate and Nate - I really enjoyed this video - I worked on a consulting engagement in Odda for a couple of weeks and hiked Trolltunga on the Saturday in between (out and back in one day). Your video brought back great memories. My wife and I love to hike and, unfortunately, she wasn't with me in Odda. Your video makes me want to go back with her someday and do the hike over 2 days with guides and an overnight stay - that looks even more fun and not quite as tiring!
@adventuresofkatnate72903 жыл бұрын
Hey Russ thanks for leaving a comment! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and it was able to bring back some great memories for you as it does for us! Hopefully you and your wife will get back there someday, we would love to revisit 😄 good effort getting it done in one day!

Hi Sean, thanks for your kind comment. We hired from a company right at the ferry - www.rentacar-moskenes.no/ to make the booking we had to contact them through their Facebook page via messenger. Thanks Seán, good luck!

Willy! I am from Minnesota, USA. I just got back from my yearly Scandinavia trip. This year we did Odda. Especially because of Netflix’s ragnarok. You will easily make it there. Just fly from wherever you are to Oslo or Goteborg, Sweden. Then take a bus from Goteborg to Oslo, and/or from Oslo take a flight (quicker) to Bergen, 1 hour or less and approximately $100. Or you can take the amazing flam railway. Take a train from Oslo to Bergen. From Bergen its a breeze. I rode the exact same buses/ferry that these British mates did. You will have a blast. Odda is UNREAL.

where in Luton was that stop? im also going to Bergen from Luton in about 3 weeks and taking my dad on his first europe trip and were also hitting up Odda! awesome video by the way.

Hi there! That’s amazing, your will both love it! Odda is great 👌 we found it easier to get around once we arrived in Norway, unfortunately there isn’t much information online explain how to get around, Thankyou I’m glad you enjoyed it. As far as the stop in Luton? There is a main bus stop/loop at the airport where all the buses arrive too, This easily leads you into the airport terminals 👍 hope that helps

Thankyou for your kind words! You will absolutely love Norway :) For this hike we just used a GoPro Hero 7, but in other videos on this trip we used a canon M50. GoPro was great for the hiking on the shorty stick. Hope that helps! Thanks
