I sometimes cannot swallow fluids and then blackout. This came after my 9th stroke and changed in some ways after my 12th stroke, The last 4 were basal ganglia due to large blood clots and AFib. Why can I swallow food, but not water? Why do water get hard in my oesophagus and cause me to faint?

My husband had a good stroke two years ago. After he had the stroke he got mad over little things. Like if I or our kids is in the bathroom taking a shower he get mad over us taking care of yourself. He got mad over the toast because the toast got cold and to hard to eat.and he got mad over me going groceries shopping and hard to talk to him he say that we are yelling at him and he now getting mad over the way I cooking and baking and over how the dishes are doing wash and how the I am washing our clothes and foldings the clothes to put away now he getting mad over the way we are walking and talking. Me and our four kids feel like we going to have to walk on eggs shell around him feel like we can't walk around him too. I am a firefighter paramedic I been watching him and writing down when he started to got mad at me and our four kids. When we got married he was sweet parson to be round with now he is not a sweet parson to be around with. What can we do so he will not get mad at us for talking or walking by him without making him mad.for us being around him?

So my mother and my life has been affected in so many ways by the negligence of the hospital to recognize or simply admitt that she was not prepared properly for anesthesia. She has coronary artery disease and from what I have learned since from a heart doctor she seen after. They were supposed to put some type of warmers on her legs to keep blood flowing properly but did not and a clit formed in her left leg as you can see on the video that went up through the lung and into the brain causing a mini stroke. When she's having it. This is my opinion but obvious on her video. Nothing was done in the way of timely attention to stroke victim. I'm guessing to save embarrassment then after the fact the records are barried in code where it is not destroyed but impossible to find. So no proper diagnosis no proper treatment now three years later dementia and still no propere diagnosis of the cause of the dementia so no proper treatment for her. It is heart breaking to see her mind deteriorate day after day and know that to this day no one cares enough to help her or myself find answers to why nothing was done in those critical moments to help. It hurts my heart to say but I have lost all trust and confidence in the medical community in there wanting to put the welfare of the patient first ahead of the al mighty dollar. I hope that doesn't offend anyone but as you will see on the comments none or very few will even comment on this let alone tell me who oversees the doctors and hospitals to help. You are just not interested.ifvyiuvthink I am just a crazy son that lives his mom too much to accept a diagnosis then ask me for evidence of my story. Ask me to see the video then look for the records that should be redilt available

My mother has hat the hospital calls a anesthesia event after a colonoscopy in 2019. I recorded because it was post surgery and she was in the hospital but no doctors came. I tried to get answers but no doctor or nurse could find records of a colonoscopy done. Three years later she has dementia and irregular heart bead but still her doctor can't get records. No one cares enough to help me find out what happened that day so that proper treatment and diagnosis for this dementia. Even with this video clearly shows something terribly wrong and they kept her 5 days past her out day for tests. No record of the tests. Who cares enough to help us. Countless doctors and nurses and human relations have ignore my please for answers. Why?

I understand there are 5 types of Aphasia? I had a work injury from lifting and carrying 250 in 30Ib increments over 50' which resulted in a 'mini stroke' 'ischemic stroke.' I can't remember my yhoughts after 30 seconds or less. I have difficulty in word finding and use wrong words in what I want to say. My most common thought is "what was I just thinking?" I don't remember!

My dad just had a stroke 3 weeks ago, and the acute care inpatient rehab will not tell me anything about his progress or treatment! They will not inform me of anything even though I call everyday for the past 3 weeks asking them to transfer him to a facility that will allow his family to see him & be a part of his therapy, but they said that is not a good enough reason to transfer him. I do not understand how it is not a good enough reason, especially when he is also grieving his mother who also suffered a stroke and was taken off life support the same morning of his stroke. He needs the motivation from his family to continue to participate in therapy, especially when the team keeps speaking Spanish to him and he only understands English. Now they want to send him to an snf saying he didn't approve enough and it wouldn't have mattered if his family had been able to see him or if the staff spoke his language for the first 2 weeks of his transfer there. Once they started speaking his language though, he started participating and just yesterday he finally started saying a few words after being completely silent.

You need to get a lawyer. ASAP They probably used all kind of drugs on him. He may not have been able to speak at all for a while. He need to see faces he is familiar with and let him know that you care. He may be weak, so if he cannot speak, see if he can blink or squeeze your hand a little. Use your phone to video him. Let him know, you or another family member will come back. This alone will make him feel so much better. Sometimes they will sedate them, so they will be sleep the entire time you are there. Demand to see him.

@@zeemc2751 It has been terrible, my father is now sitting in a skilled nursing facility with no therapy because the inpatient rehab said he did not cooperate with them and would barely participate & said they couldn't determine if he understands anything. But they were speaking to him in Spanish, when my father only speaks English & he understands everything, that part of his brain wasn't affected. He didn't participate because he couldn't understand a language he never spoke!

I only had the last symptom. My stroke was deep in the brain I was told the area that effects balance. Mine wasn't a mini stroke. My stroke was not treated, as I didn't know what it was. The next day I saw a spot in my vision. I was 50. They only found out about it 1.5 years later when it showed up on a MRI I was having for a different reason. I was then put on blood thinners. I had been half laying half sitting in bed when suddenly something didn't feel right like my head was heavy and I was in a dream world. I actually did wonder at the time if I was having a stroke, so I took an aspirin that was on bedstand and laid down as I felt I couldn't remain awake. This is how I know when it actually happened. It's the only time in my life I wondered if I was having a stroke. Unfortunately, I didn't listen to my intuition. Never went to hospital or doctor for it. That's why they were so shocked when it showed up on MRI a year and a half later. But I'm telling this, because she said the last symptom on her list is usually combined with one of the others in the list. Mine was only the last symptom. Hopefully my telling this will help someone else. Also pay attention if you see a spot in your vision .

Pills do not solve depression but 10 million might solve it for some...You can not play Jesus and restory the human soul. Get off what you read as TRUTH. You can patch and treat but not heal everything like you think.
