Same issue even im facing even after 1st service all these are there in this bike and while quick shifting down some times i am not able to down shift it feels like gearbox is gammed

The gear is clunky but I got used to it since gear shifts not required frequently But I am annoyed with the chain quality man, it got rust in 20 days of usage and the service guys couldn't clean it properly

Hey dont feel let down by the bike. Just like you i did buy first gen bikes 10+ years ago welcome to the group of doubts and heart ache . Engine breakin is usually after 2 oil changes (usually 10000kms+ on ur odo reading and after second oil change it will become smoother )but you need to use higher sustained rpms for duration and distance after first 5000kms initial distance from factory odo reading your Minimum rpm should be 5000 rpm for all gears and gradually push upto 7000 rpm for first 5000 kms . After that increase max rpm by 1000 rev. Don't rev the bike out hard during this duration. After second oil change i dont know what's the distance for your bike ,use full rpm range The quick shifter is not refined as what you have experienced(a quick shifter will not smoothen a gear box ) ,you dont have skill issue but do check the chain tightness if its aligned correctly, if it's too loose or too tight there will be kick back and also use torque wrench to tighten the rear axial and swingarm to its torque spec. And yes quick shifter is better at higher rpms with throttle roll. Usually it takes time for a breakin after a few oil changes , distance and use the bike will become smoother. Try a high octane fuel once after using std 91 octane is used up and put a full tank of 97 high octane to see if the fuel was the reason for vibration. And the temperature will reduce because of the 97 octane fuel. The gear box hard knock can be made smoother by physically shifting quicker (from really quick clutch and foot movement) but sometimes certain manufacturers have harsh shift feel as an example Kawasaki's have harsh sifts on ninja 250,300,650 always upto 3rd gear. You need to have good shift timing and you have to be firm with your foot work. Always try simple solution for problems and then escalate to hardware change. Now for the brake pads you can try ebc epfa 606 hh pads its available in India . Follow the bedding and cleaning procedure and enjoy good stopping consistency.

I have r15 v2 exactly same issue with it i think it's linked to clutch assembly quick shifter won't make any difference.

One tip may work or not im not sure I hope ur bike first service done My friend himalayan 411 had this clunky gear issue even new and when serviced in showrooms Recently after 20k kms he gave to outside and changed oil to motul 5100 the gear was smoother Next service he gave to showroom they put liquid gun in it same gear hardness came Yes understood bike is under warranty But just experiment just remove the old oil and put some motul 7100/300v ull fell the difference Even if u are not facing any difference then its gear box

My father used to say that never buy initial production models of any vehicle/bike. They have issues. If you can wait for like 8-9 months after the launch of a bike then you will get better models.

Aprilia ek renowned italian brand hai so issues toh honi nahi chahiye tha lekin issues isliye logon ko face karna padh raha hai kyunki this bike was locally manufactured in India. Agar CBU unit hoti then ek bhi complain nikalna mushkil hoti isiliye bade bade famous brands like Honda, yamaha, Kawasaki, Ducati apne high end premium segment bikes India mein locally manufacture nhi karti, bhalei aisa na karne pe price hadh se jyada ho jaati hai product ki lekin jo product hoga woh top-notch & that is why top brands do not prefer manufacturing bikes in India. Yamaha ne r3 launch ki, Honda ne NX500 launch ki,sab log ye bol rahe hai ki overpriced hai lekin price ko choddhkar aur koi complaints aur issues nhi nikal paa rahe hai😂. Locally manufactured bikes ki R&D itna bhi kuch khaas nhi hoti. Bajaj aur RE se kaam chalao aur frequent service centres visit karte raho😂. Aur jo log afford kar sakte hai woh jyada price dekar CBU unit bikes purchase karlo japanese brands ke so no headache!!

All italian bikes have clanky gear boxes, should have know before buying, also you're not actually supposed to use quickshifter from 1st to second, ride any big bike and you would have known that. Vibrations are ok, only indians complain about vibrations. I have 457 and duke 390, and no it doesn't even come close to the vibrations of a single

try searching something called rev-matching to change gears ! its not much talked about but i have seen a world of difference on my ns200 bs3 by shifting at the correct rev range, only on the higher gears though. the first gear still makes a nasty sound when i click it into place.

Aprilla rs 457 mei Abhi itna malum nahi hai working on it but do check your chain tension bhot bikes mei chain sag hai that’s the reason of that jerky feel and that sound not comparing but ktm mei bhi hai ya chiz on 1 and 2 gear of your chain sag is too much tight it up and lube it every 500 km check karo ak bar let me know if it works

Okay so i thought only mine had this issue. So i went to service center and after 2 days they were like u need to change some plates and shit to improve this sound thing.
