Disagree...gangs cannot live a life of organised crime disrespecting the laws eveyone else abide by and expect to be treated then same. Patches and the intimidation wearing one creates...is part of the way gangs operate and part of the attraction..they are not sports cluns.. To say someone waring a turban could be arrested does not make.sense....there is a process before patches are.banned. If there is a turban wearing gang selling meth....assaulting people etc. Then yes...same.applies. This is not a "demographic" .Gangs have become top pervasive...Time for action. This is not "picking on people"

Gangs are not social clubs....they incubate crime and criminals. It is tragic there are so many broken families providing easy recruits. That should be the problem TPM focuses on...how to provide male role models that show strength by working 40 hours per week ...don't drink or use drugs...and support the education of their kids as a priority. That is tough amd what a man does.

If you really want to know when the division really picked up We can thank Robert Muldoon Home invasions , first in the world ,politically motivated out right racism, Polynesian Brothers , Bastion point that was the beginning of it and he had the cheek to Smirk and cackle about it National Party Auks , where majority early Colonists lived wanting protection , also expand On what they had Treaty was always in favour of those who were literate , sadly Māori were blue collard people majority belonging to a trade Union , that was another area Muldoon wanted to dismantle

Want to share Being involved in the the first Hikoi in 1975 I’m Māori , Gang paraphernalia is not what my Tipuna would approve of , in fact I witnessed a situation storm trooper days. German Helmets Swas Stickers where they were asked to leave our rohe respectfully escorted out of town back then , then in the eighties it made its way back It is imitating to others uncomfortable in fact when you know the violence associated with it , don’t have to mention the rest that goes with it Being a child growing up with 1st and 2nd world war veterans Mana Māori was alive and flourishing Many relatives whom were and are Gang members have suffered greatly from their decision and bad choices they made Just saying that’s real

In fact i knew of a Maori battalion veteran telling his son not wear his stormtroopers patch in his house a few days later turned up with his patch on walks in the house his dad shoots him to death

Great podcast, yall. I'll say this, every protest that's made its way to parliament grounds has always been for the people by the people. Regardless of how things ended. We are living in a time where anything is possible. We just have to come together when the time is right. Peace yall.

I have some strong feelings about the recent haka in Parliament and the person who initiated it. She has a history that I believe reflects poorly on her integrity. This MP from Huntly took over from Nanaia Mahuta in the Māori electorate. During her campaign, she accused a well-known Huntly businessman, ‘Gunny,’ of breaking into her home. Gunny is widely respected in the community for supporting Huntly locals, especially those making a positive impact. From what I understand, her partner invited him into their home to congratulate her on winning the seat. The media ran with the story, painting this man in a negative light, and she never publicly denied the allegations even though he was not found guilty. That incident garnered her significant public sympathy and likely helped her win the seat. To me, this shows a lack of courage and integrity. Using someone’s reputation as a stepping stone for personal or political gain is disappointing, especially when they’ve done so much for the community.
