If you buy 2k cars, then you will have to wrench on them, that is given and by your self I mean. Get aluminium car like audi a2 or a8 if you want something that don't rust. Jaguar had one model too. 1100$ for brakes is dumb, it is simple stuff to do and you save most of your money. If you buy VW group like audi go for 1.9tdi are amaizing. 1.8t 20v is a good engine, can get a lot of power out of them.

Audis are money pits, mini cooper engines are great because they're made by BMW but all their components are plastic so that's strike 2, but you will not get a better car than the Corolla. Coming from a fellow Ontario resident in Waterloo with a Toyota, you did well my friend 👍

@SVwindsor27 күн бұрын
Ok, so here is my experience of changing close to 20 + cars in 15 years. Mostly cheap in ontario canada. Go with ford, least problems, especially 6 to 8 cylinders. Honda civic are not bads, toyota not soo good. You were luck with corolla but people usually are not . There is such a high demand for Japanese cars from overseas community that no decent are available, only scams or broken down cars. Now the korean cars are over bought as well. So, be alert for private sales on good ford cars like fusion, edge, f150, explorer, crown vic and trust me you cant go wrong.

@SVwindsor27 күн бұрын
@apolloniusbeitsman5444 it may be but my worst experiences were with toyotas, corollas, camrys, however civics are the real king. Accords are like toyota repairs are plenty. $1100 for brakes is insane.$400 in parts and $600 in labor? A kit containing pads and rotors from Bendix is like $115 from rock auto and even calipers are like $80 (which they probably didn't do). If you are going to buy cheap cars you have to learn to at least do basic maintenance for wear items yourself. You could buy all the tools and still come out ahead on this one.
@rocketboyreviews146328 күн бұрын
@@nutritionperfection it wasn’t just brakes. It was exhaust. Door was bent so we bent it back and welded it. Two gaskets. Tire install. Labour for all that. Wasn’t a bad deal honestly
@nutritionperfection28 күн бұрын
@@rocketboyreviews1463 That would make a lot more sense. I was just going on what was said in the video. Exhaust and a bit of welding def would up the parts and labor. I'm in Ontario too so I get the struggle of finding decently priced used vehicles.
