Why was the montage M discontinued? Its one of the 5 best keyboards on earth. With it Yamaha may have the best Keyboard on the Planet, without it Yamaha has nothing to match the Korg Kronos, Jupiter 80, Roland Fantom, and Kurdzweill 2700. perhaps they will bring it back with 1500 notes of polyphony like these top boards need, and a bending mechanism on both side. and a 88 keys in both piano and synth keys with aftertouch on both. you can all ways make keyboards better and better. But to get rid of the best keyboard just because its over 95% of peoples heads is insane. you just gotta make the mind menu diving connection with these supper smart boards. there ain't no other way to learn the menues of these complex instruments than to start diving in, the brain learns through repetition. Enjoy learning the best Keyboard on earth your brain will get it in a week/month or so.

Yamaha's piano tone is overwhelming, connecting the synthesizer with a simple USB connection rather than the MIDI standard! Amazing, it provided very good functionality to the performer.

I tried to make a user bass arpeggio that plays a C when I play a C chord and not a G or E, but it doesn't work. How do I fix this ?

I’m loving the mute mode. This might be a little bit of a nitpick, but I’m really not sure why Yamaha choose to illuminate the knobs in green when muted. It would make way more sense at lest for me for the muted knobs to illuminate red when muted, as opposed to green.

The budget way that we can access to this hybrid is the SunVox Tracker because you have the required modules to build from the ground up. For formants, I recommend Filter Pro Modules because they have wider ranges of options. You assign multiple modules from the source OSC and merge them.

Installed the 2.0 update the day after it became available and its good! Would love to see an update in the future that allows release control for each zone (section) and possibly a couple of new fm tines electric pianos.. But overall, im pleased with what yamaha is doing with the cp88 series! Thanks for keeping your customers in mind!!!!

Just did the update. The new CFX is AMAZING, and they also fixed the top 2 octaves of the Bösendorfer sample with Bösendorfer+. Adjustable output gain is also game changer! Thank You Yamaha! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Ganz liebe Grüße aus Hamburg, Deutschland an die Ingenieure von YAMAHA und recht herzlichen Dank, das Ihr die CP-Kundschaft "doch" nicht vergessen habt, lange Zeit haben wir nichts mehr gehört und das fand ich doch recht schade, zumal das CP-88 ein richtig schönes Musikinstrument geworden ist. Ich hatte im Oktober 2024 das große Glück, Jeff Lorber in Hamburg Live zu erleben. Bekanntermaßen spielt auch er das CP-88 und schätzt genau wie ich die ausgezeichnete Testatur, welche ein sensationelles Spielgefühl vermittelt. Besonders gefällt mir der intelligente Aufbau mit den 3 Sektionen für Piano, E-Piano und Hintergrundsounds- und Flächen. Recht herzlichen Dank also, das Ihr uns nochmal diese tollen "Features" und Werkzeuge geschenkt habt, ich bin und bleibe verliebt und begeistert. Weiter so und ganz liebe Grüße, Mike aus Hamburg
