Thanks for introducing us to this productive pattern. The follow-up video on tying in the head is very helpful.

Yourpreesion video is about how you tie your fly and not your expression and what you look like. We can hear what you said you're doing, but we want to see what and how you're doing on the vise and hook. Thanks for shareing.

I wish you had zoomed in on the fly more while you were tying it

This really is a simple pattern , but it does look like a glass minnow, have you tried different hook sizes ? I could see making a bit larger size pattern of this just to see what it would do , have the white and grey I just need to see if I can find the pink crystal flash, I might need two hand fulls , some how mangrove trees have a way of attacking my line 😄👍

I’ve never tied it much larger than this. We have really clear water, so anything larger in our area is fairly unnecessary.

Not trying to be critical (and thanks for the video), but For future videos, it would be nice if the camera were more focused on the fly and not the “big picture”. It gets lost in the back ground of your shirt. I can listen to you, don’t have to look at you while you’re talking.

David, good feedback. I’m new to doing this, so figuring it out as I go.

a darker shirt and closer camera would help a lot.. Don't need to see your pretty face as much as we do the fly. Thanks ..otherwise a good presentation.

Bob, this second video (link below) is a closer view and focuses on how the head is put together. I’m a guide, not a videographer, so you’ll just have to deal with my subpar video quality. The link to the second video is at the end of the comment. Let me know how it works for you. If you’re not catching fish, then either there’s no fish around or you tied it wrong. Use mono thread. Way less head build up. Should be good in the .003-.006 range. Anything thicker will become cumbersome to work with and build up way to quickly.

@@collaaborboehmtion2808 thanks so much! Headed to Deerfield next weekend from Colorado. Really hoping to see my rod bent! Wish I could find hire someone for tarpon, but might be too much for this trip. However, I do know how to strip set! Question... that medium fun grey looks kinda white. Can In just use white?

Love the thought behind the fly. Been tying a long time and over the years have come to believe that simple is best. Perfect can’t wait to put one in the water
