It might seem crazy , but what else you gonna do when you find yourself near mount rainier ? With a packed backpack ? And a willing buddy who’s also up for an adventure?

This was a great hike when I did it 2017, I was post holing up by the top of the pass though July. Nice video and I'll check out the rest you have, and definitely recommend long lake.

I hiked to long lake last year, definitely one of the most beautiful places I've been. Good video, keep it up :)

Glad you like it. I will be posting more videos from my 2024 trip that might give you some more destinations. If you are near bishop pass, there are some other cool hikes I would recommend as well. Little Valley Lakes, Duck Pass (was unable to check out due to time), and Kearsarge Pass (alltrails links below). www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/california/little-lakes-valley-to-gem-lakes www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/california/duck-lake-trail--2 www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/california/kearsarge-pass-trail-to-kearsarge-lakes

Great video. I just got the Big Agnes Gold camp UL5 tarp and inner mesh with the footprint. Setting it up does take some practice compared to my copper spur UL3 but nothing complicated, It's just a different tent. As for the inner walls touching the tarp, I see your point, but when I used the guy lines on the 4 walls of the tarp, it did the trick and gave it a good 4 inches of clearance. Buying these tents is a big investment, but I also got the same 40% discount you got. I wonder if Big Agnes is discontinuing this tent.

Its possible they are discontinuing it, but I'd be willing to bet the 40% sale coincided with guys (like me) who use these tents for backcountry hunting. Elk archery season is about to kick off and this style of tent is very popular with hunters.

Wow! It took me 7 days to cover that part. You were cruising.

Good job man !!! Those are some pretty big miles considering the elevation. Way too many miles for this Hoosier!😂😂

A pretty good adventure. Keep it up. Pan slower. Get off camera mic and dead cat. Tripod for those shots of you hiking into the distance (then coming back to pick it up..)

Chicago Basin is definitely a place I’ve been wanting to hike. Thanks for sharing ! I’m wondering if you are an Indiana resident? I saw you had a techumseh Trail video?
@adventureon2512 жыл бұрын
Chicago Basin was cool and had all the mountain goats. If the weather would have cooperated I would have hiked up to Twin Lakes and Sunlight Peak but was not wanting to wait half a day. A lot of people hiked to Chicago Basin to climb and camp in the area including Sunlight Peak. Most went back down the same way whereas I looped around. And yes I am a Hoosier as well. I see you have had plenty of adventures around the state as well.
