Very lucid way of explaining. MarketSmith is the best of the screeners I am using now. Thanks for helping me set up.

Sir, to identify stage - 2, which chart time frame shall we consider? If I am a positional trader or investor. Or if I am a short-term trader or investor. Shall we check daily or weekly or monthly? Because every time frame has its own analysis. If I am a positional trader or long-term investor & if I consider Daily time frame I would be exit from the position early. If I consider weekly time frame, I will hold the stock for some weeks. And if I am positional trader or investor & consider monthly time frame, I would be holding stock for more than 12 to 18 months. Please guide. Thank you for making such excellent video. 🙏🙏
@RohitMusaleCFAКүн бұрын
I do not use the monthly. I use the weekly to identify if I am buying the stock early or late. I use the daily to identify the buy point. I use the lower timeframes like 15 min or 5 min to get a precise entry at low risk. I use the same process for swing and positional.

Dear Rohit, i have been trying to practice what you teach in your videos and i am failing badly. Most trades where breakouts seems likely tend to squat and fall back. Hence i have a question for you - is it not better to let a stock breakout and then get in peacefully rather than entering the moment it ticks above the yellow line and hoping for a breakout. If it closes above the yellow line and then we enter into the trade the following day, would that not increase the chances of success?
@RohitMusaleCFA3 күн бұрын
David Ryan (3-time U.S Investing Champion) tried doing exactly what you said, about 35 years ago and learnt a very important lesson. Never buy extended stocks. It is always better to book a small loss rather than buy a stock that is extended more than 1% above the yellow line. If you want to become a high-quality-world-class-professional-stock-trader, you will eventually have to learn this lesson, either from me or from the market itself.

Why not see volume in amount terms rather than just number of shares?
@RohitMusaleCFA3 күн бұрын
Yes. I see both. Average INR Volume per day criteria is use in minimum INR 1 Cr.
@myhousename3 күн бұрын
@@RohitMusaleCFA Is volume value criteria not enough? Is it possible to miss out on valid stocks that are lower than 200K in count because their per share price is very high? Let's say 7K and above?
@RohitMusaleCFA3 күн бұрын
Let go of those stocks. We cannot attend every party in town. We are also missing stocks that skyrocket which have volume less than 1Cr. Become comfortable with missing stocks. We cant catch everything.

sir what is the rationale behind yellow lines ?
@RohitMusaleCFA5 күн бұрын
The yellow line represents the line of least resistance. It is where the supply is likely to be minimum in the base. This allows the price to move up even on very small demand.
