Thanks to this video my family staged an intervention after discovering the burnt spoons. I've never touched the stuff in my life!

Acid is not inherently bad for you. Lemons contain citric acid, vitamin C is ascorbic acid, and DNA is an acid 🧬

All jokes aside, I'm genuinely interested in how it forms lichtenberg patterns like when someone gets struck by lightning. That would make an amazing tattoo.

I did this in art class. No one understood it- They thought I was doing some type of magic. Except for the science nerd ..he got it. I made trees and shrubbery using this method. Over a few days Idk what happened to the final picture-I think the teacher kept it. I think ti won a prize. Too but Idk

Just curious, wouldn't there be a margin of error when it dropping neutralizers? I mean to say is that every drop will have a small amount of difference and that could theoretically change the amount neutralizers being drop onto the acid.
@TommyTechnetiumСағат бұрын
Indeed, I tested this prior to the experiment. In three trials 10 drops had masses of 0.532 g, 0.526g, and 0.528 g. So the error is about 1%

ive only done a tiny bit of reading on this just now but it seems like this is a thermal-stiffening hydrogel. I was reading about it in the article "This polymer hardens as it heats up" by Research Outreach but the bits i read made it seem like the properties are due to it being comprised of both a hydrophilic compound and a hydrophobic compound that orients differently based on heat, so as it cools it grabs onto water and creates a liquid solution, whereas when it heats itll repel water and harden. If anyone else is curious and wants to check it out please reply with a better explanation im very curious and tired rn
