I'm a boomer, and my formative years, music wise, were in the 70's, several years after the heyday of the Airplane.. That being said, I probably now listen to Hot Tuna more than any other artist. They have an extensive live discography, rivaled only by maybe the Dead..Jorma is my all time favorite guitarist. Jorma and Jack are truly national treasures.

Ya'll full of it. That trumpet is great. We all love Papa John , but the player got soul. Don't hate him for what you can't have.

Yes,children this was the lineup from Jefferson airplane, starting in 1966. A lifetime of this interplay between these outstanding artists. Idk if you appreciate the ggenre,or the talent enough to get here, but this music is universally recognized as significant. If you have the time and the heart to get into the interplay between the artists, and the deeply rooted blues influences... well there you are!

Not my thing, but they are clearly a) total pro's and b) I love the history you mentioned - so I will do what u suggest. Too many young fellas with the old: "not my taste (subjective) therefore I hate it. No culture and also the difference between tourist and a someone who lives aNd breathes music. Also SWEET TRUMPET / CORNET . amazing.

Fun fact: The Jack Cassidy signature model bass guitar made by Epiphone (which you see him playing in this video) is one of the finest bass guitars I've ever played, & it's not expensive!!! Every bassist should at least try one out if not own & play one. Thank you Jack for making such an instrument available & affordable! Jack has always been one of my favorite bassists. I've loved this band since I heard their first album more decades ago than I care to admit.
