Jesse Kliman

Jesse Kliman, baritone, is a junior at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. He studies with Robert Cantrell.

He has received recognition in both classical voice and musical theatre - attending the WNO Opera Institute, and currently training with Young Artists of America at Strathmore, a pre-professional program combining musical theatre with fully orchestrated performances. Recent credits include Camelot (King Arthur), Big Fish (Don Price), Titanic (Barrett), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Clopin), and scenes from Così fan tutte (Don Alfonso).

At school, Jesse is section leader for DeMatha’s premier choir, Voices of DeMatha, and has been selected for the Maryland All-State Chorus for three consecutive years. Beyond his vocal and theatrical training, he is an accomplished pianist and cellist, and enjoys composing. Jesse hopes to become a professional opera singer, dedicated to using storytelling and art to make opera accessible and inspiring for future generations!
