Hey, thanks so much for that. I have a Jeep Wrangler Jk 2011 and my mechanic reckons that my evaporator is leaking. (this was done after a re-gas attempt and then a subsequent UV dye check performed) He's quoting me 10 hours of labour and parts. All up around $2500. He also suggests replacing TX valve and desiccant bag. I'm not sure whether I have to do that because just the evaporator is apparently leaking. By the way, unlike some of the other commentators, my cool air is gone. I'm in the tropics and boy do we need it. Do you know anything about TX valves and Dessicant bag? Would I need them? Anyway, love your method I really want to give it a go..... *When you mentioned...."unhook the top heater core hose going to the engine and fill it with antifreeze. Reattached and used one of these funnel kits to get rest of air out. Got to attach funnel and let jeep get up to temp. You will see all trapped the air bubbles come out. I tried all sorts of things to unstick a silicone band that had been in the watch for several years - warm water, alcohol, WD-40, cursing, toothpick, toothbrush, small screwdriver, scalpel. Nothing worked until I clamped the band in a bench vise near the attachment, so I could pull hard on the watch with one hand while pressing the release button with the other.

@@Difficultmadeeasy It is hard to hold the watch firmly without pressing various buttons, making it try to wake up and complain about wrong passcodes, locking out passcode attempts, etc. You need three hands, with one of them being very small and able to fit between side buttons and crowns. I thought of 3d printing a holding fixture, but ultimately did not need one. Apple is the king of difficult-to-service.

So I have the problem where the left drivers vent comes out cold. Do u believe a new heater core would solve this issue?

My issue was similar to yours where passenger side was just a bit warmer, but still not hot. It got progressively worse. In my case it was the heater core since half of it was not allowing hot water flow. I would check all other possibilities first like making aure the blend door is working correctly

Your heater core is most likey clogged. I did mine this weekend & the old one weighed about 3 times what the new one did. Most older JK's don't have dual zone, so should only have one blend door.

If you cut the bracket in the place I showed in video, no need to weld anything. Just put everything back together and will work fine.
