YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!! I am a 68 years young woman, I watched your video twice a few weeks ago and then decided my 2020 Traverse battery is still ok....till today! I was getting a very intermittent (I mean twice it happened in the past 5 days, an ESC flash on my dashboard). I choose to pay attention to my computer on wheels and change the oil and filters and fluids regularly; the least I can do to keep it running (71,000 miles)...I researched online, could be a battery....mine is the original (now that I replaced the battery myself thanks to your detailed video, I see the battery is dated 11/7/19 so I got a long life from ACDelco thank you; I bought the same, why chance luck! MOST IMPORTANTLY, doing this myself was easy thanks to your video.....until I got to removing the darn thing, yikes! That took some serious determination, I'm 5'7" and average weight....I used my step ladder and I kneeled on the front end to get some leverage; I think it took me about 8 tries....I want to travel 62 miles tomorrow early morning and started this at 10pm; it is now 12:48am...AND putting the new battery in place was almost as tough.....I attached a rope to the rear handle of the battery and pulled on the rope with the rear handle with my right hand as I lift the front handle of the battery with my left hand and got it in finally on my 3rd attempt. NOW I CAN MAKE my trek in the morning which is a fun day for me and my service dog for an annual event; really didn't want to miss the event and thanks to you I can go after some zzzzz's. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

You can also stick the old brake pad in there and use your c clamp to press the pistons I'm as well.. great video brotha
@dadscandoittv25 күн бұрын
Yes, old-school style. 👍. But on some of these newer models. The caliper must turn like a screw to retract it. But yes. On most cars and front brakes of this car the old brake pad and C-clamp will do just fine. Please go sslloowww take your time.
@VicVargas-t2b27 күн бұрын
You can take the back part off and use a 3/16 bit and go clock wise to get the piston to go in without using a scanner.

Hi. That is the Coolant/Antifreeze. Please make sure to check it. It does have a minimum fill line as well as a maximum fill line. If you can't see it, it is too low. Please also make sure to use the red/pink. People call it different. DO NOT USE GREEN or any other color coolant. Use only the red/pink dex coolant for Chevy. Thank you for watching.

You have to release the electronic parking brake foo, that's why you're struggling to push the cylinder.
@dadscandoittv4 ай бұрын
The e brake was not on. It was not a struggle. You have to retract it very slow to help avoid any codes.
@omarcastro89704 ай бұрын
@dadscandoittv it's not that it's on, You have to release it, by doing the steps (turn the car on and press the brake and the e brake, hold them until the service light comes on, release it and press the e braak 1 time and the service light will vome on and the brakes will disengage also you can hear it when it does electronically. Then you can start working on it and press the cylinder without any issues) there's a video of it in here.. you have to do that before even start working on it. Or you can do it with a scanner as well.
Damn bro thank you so much you’re a life saver I was about to buy another controller thinking mine was broken or sum but I just had to update it thanks again brother appreciate

You didn't retract the caliber you forced the caliber to retract. Remove the caliper cap epb use T45 to retract. Good luck.
@dadscandoittv5 ай бұрын
You said I damaged the caliper? Also you said that's wrong. I asked how? You explained how to do it in a way that will most likely cause air to go into the caliper, that right there will damage not only the caliper but the whole braking system. (IF air gets in). I'm not saying you're wrong. But I'd do it the way you explained only if I were bleeding the system. And bleeding the system is done for 2 reasons. 1) to get air out. Or 2) to get out old fluid.
