The coronation was just beautiful. All of the young ladies were so beautiful. The escorts were handsome and did a fine job escorting the young queens. Queen Faith represented! Loved the ladies in red...the gold n bluez dancers. The dance was quite beautiful. The Coronation of the 94th Miss Southern University was planned well.

The disappointment of this meeting is there was no accountability from the SU Board or Athletic Director on why SU was in this predicament with the exception of Atty Clayton and Atty Shorter. The system is flawed and what I see is the common denominator is AD Roman Banks. He was at the helm of SU Athletics when former SU Coach Dawson Odums left, he presented Coach Eric Dooley to the Board as a top finalist for SU Head Coach in 2021 and now he's trying to save his job as AD. Anyone that can't see that and read the tea leaves🍃 needs to pay close attention. I agree with Atty Clayton, the process was not done with transparency and their was lack of principles being maintained. Had AD Banks held Dooley hands to the fire during or after the 2022 season then SU likely wouldn't be in this position today. Banks contract should NOT be renewed and he has yet to show productive partnerships and fundraising as AD. I'm not opposed to giving Coach Terrance Graves the opportunity. He has as put in the work and has a nice coaching resume. Wishing Coach Graves the best. AD Banks has to go and if SU Board proceeds in renewing Banks contract they better have a darn good reason why he should stay based on his less than mediocre body of work as AD for the 6-7 years.

Oh no ma’am! Let’s not lump the entire board in this. Your Athletic Department /Administration failed to include the board. All of which was done while the President was out. Which is why Mrs. Smith and Atty. Clayton and Atty. Shorty spoke out and asked the questions. Why was the media notified before the board? No one is saying that they didn’t want Graves. It’s the process and manner in which they did it.

It's okay we can have 2 different perspectives on what occurred. The process was flawed and raised major questions on how decisions are vetted and made.

DO not renew AD Banks Contract. PERIOD? That would be the first step in the right direction. Start not looking for a fully qualified and able Director who has the University and Student Athletes as their first priority and can truly fundraise and bring sponsors to support our Athletics.

Tony donates millions of dollars to SU every year. So he is in the position to give and also help guide the SU system. Yall only negative against Tony because you don’t do your research and you do not know him. If you knew him and how much he’s contributed you wouldn’t say anything.
