oh why can`t swarovski make a 4x or 5x in the pocket series? every fisherman in the world wants it, but nobody makes it. 7-10x is about useless at sea, because nobody can hold a binocular steady enough to use those magifiying ranges. Sometimes you can almost see something with your eyes, but with +7x its impossible to see it. if i was a dicator at swarovski for a day, i would make a 4x28, and a 5x50 marine binocular.

Hello, is it safe to clean the lenses on the NL pure with Zeiss wipes? I’ve read things about not using wipes with alcohol and the Zeiss smells like alcohol, but I’m not sure. Thanks.

I got my 10x32 NL's in burned orange after watching this? I'm thinking of 12x42 next. Do you miss the bigger exit pupil on your full size NL's?
@GaryPatefield4 ай бұрын
Swarovski , Zeiss and Leica need to do the inevitable and get image stabilisation in their binoculars.

my lenses look much worse after following this video exactly and using the official kit. There is a layer of smeared stuff on them now.

So, are you just viewing nature through a screen?
@alin.agheorghesei4 ай бұрын
No, it's a binocular with AI and some functions. It doesn't have screen it's like a red dot scope.

With high-magnification binoculars, the image can shake, so I don't even touch the eyepiece during use. And here is a separate headrest on the telescope. ;)

Does the auto focus work in video mode? The lack of reticle would suggest it deactivates the moment you change from stills to video :O

Don’t get too excited. I tested this at RSPB Bempton today and it identified a wood pigeon as a spectacled warbler lol. Lots of bugs so best wait a year for the fixes to be done.

All the “locks” to get the lens in position gets loose with the slightest touch. After a few weeks in use I was already more busy with rubber bands wrapping the locks making them stay than actually taking photo’s. I used it for 1,5 years like this but even this got harder and harder because even this was starting to slip on the “teeth” in the mechanism. That was 250€ now I don’t know if I dare to pull my wallet for the new one that came out.

This product isn't for serious birders or nature lovers. It's for people who want to live life small or avoid any challenge or any learning or any work to acquire skills. If you're in an unfamiliar location you do your homework using a field guide and maybe researching bird calls on ebird and then, you use your eyes, ears and intelligence to track down the birds and then ID the bird. Once you do this you can store that information in a vastly better computer . . . your brain. This is how we build our skills and how we grow as birders. This is just once again letting AI tech to create a gimmick which steals our joy.
@rickicoughlan82997 ай бұрын
More stealing of joy and our humanity through AI technology. So we're not even going to bother doing the work to learn to identify birds now? A great deal of birding is the anticipation of finding a bird we're particularly after/twitching today and, when we're in a new locality we work with images and info in our field guides and song samples on ebird . . . we do our homework . . . and then we go into the field, find the right habitat and use our ears, eyes and intelligence to find and identify the bird. We're then happy and satisfied because we did the work and achieved the outcome. So what if it can takes years to achieve these skills? That's the journey of birding. That's being a human being. Every fool wants everything in five minutes these days and lives a diminished life as a result.

I have one, but it has so huge spherical aberrations. Bright, almost perfect CA control in centre but that SA ruins all, it's just shame, garbage for 3.5k$. And I cant not send it for garantee because of the crazy political situation in the world. 65mm resolve better that 115, how it could be? what about QA? is there any QA at Swarovski?

These look great for adults that only occasionally need a binocular. They would have been perfect in orange when they are left on the ground they visually stand out.
