I’m taking the shsat but the sat looks easy

it was pretty easy without desmos: f(x)=y; y1=2, x1=0, but y1 also equal to ax1 + b so ax1 + b = 2 -> a*0 + b = 2 -> 0 + b = 2 -> b = 2; now we take y2=17 and x2=3 => y2 = ax2+b => 17 = a * 3 + 2 => a*3 = 17-2=15 => a = 15 / 3 = 5; The function f(x) = ax+b = 5x + 2 <- Ans

Imo if u know the conditions of inf many solutions, it just take 10 seconds to solve that problem

you should make a series of videos with all the possible questions that needs to be done by using desmos it will really help for all those sat takers.

I’m pretty sure you did the second example incorrectly. Worked it out and the smallest solution wasn’t -3, but ~-2.59. I’m assuming that’s why it didn’t give you the solution of -3. So at times you need to simplify the equations and find the intersections of both graphs. The first being the original graph (what you did) with a f(x) of a simplified version [(x-2)^2-5x-34].

I did it like find common denominator such that ab = 6, so numerator is sum of a square and b square, then consider both factors 1,6 and 2,3, and only one shown in the answer is the ladder

Is there a way to enter the equation 3x+6y=7 into Desmos and have it tell you the slope? I know that you could enter the equation and then count "rise over run," but I'm wondering if there is a way to have Desmos determine and report it.

It's not that desmos has some sort of initial distaste towards some of your equations, it's the fact that they are one variable equations without y values.
