I watched this video a few years ago and looked up the King Sisters out of curiosity after hering them mentioned. Now they're one of my favorite groups (along with the freshmen) - thanks for uploading!

Marty was such a sweetheart! It would have been nice, though, in this video, if the audio hadn't sounded like an echo chamber. It's hard to understand some of what the women were saying, because of the reverberation. And the captions don't always accurately display the dialogue. Can that echoing somehow be fixed?

Hear that music playing, listen to what it's saying Throughout the years I've made a lot of friends Many became famous, most of them go nameless But I dedicate this song to all of them I've sung with the best and I've had it all I've gone from neighborhood saloons to Carnegie Hall And I've been down and out and I've been in demand But I wouldn't have made it without them, here's to the band! Those magical notes, those musical pearls I've sung with all the Counts, the Dukes, the Kings, and the Earls And the experience, I have to say, was grand But I wouldn't have made it without them, here's to the band! [Bridge:] Strings soaring, horns boring Drums pounding in my ear To start at the ground and reach for the top To have such a wonderful career, I just gotta stop Stop and turn around to thank everyone that sits on the stand `Cause I wouldn't have made it without them, here's to the band! [instrumental] Here's to those ladies and the gentlemen Here's to the AF of M I wouldn't have made it without them, here's to the band! Here's to the band!

That's what good care and true love can do. And, doing what one loves best in life. Helps tremendously in maintaining one's youthful spirit and looks. Marty had such a positive attitude, and good genes, as well. That's also part of the overall health picture. An interesting fact: Both of Marty's parents died in their seventies. Where he got such resilience is a bit of a mystery. But we're sure glad he had it!❤

@@passarorjp ----we were two high school kids in the performer's dressing room watching them gather their things to move on to the next gig. Bob was so polite....didn't rush us....seriously responded to all of our questions as he moved about the room....Interestingly, we were NOT officially from our school paper, but , rather two guys that just wanted to meet the Freshman. We thought it was pretty nifty to put one over on the Prom management. Would have been fun to see if he recalled the incident. Never know--might have.

I also recall feeling guilty for the deception....wished I could apologize to him....we did, however, write up the interview, and our paper ran it. That tempered my guilt!
