This incredible song brings out more emotions than any song I have ever heard. It is a masterpiece in my opinion. I'm a 57-year-old guy and every time I hear this song along with seeing this brilliantly done animation video I am a complete mess. I'm practically swimming in my tears. Just today while seeing this video I finally noticed that a newspaper on the floor mentioned a father and two sons getting killed in a school shooting. It's enough to make anyone feel like an arrow just pierced their heart. Steven Wilson is a musical genius and all the musicians in his band are incredibly talented. I think that this song is the epitome of how music can connect with and affect peoples' emotions. Just brilliant!

Feeling like crying is totally normal with music that is supposed to move you to tears. You can feel the heart and soul they put into it, it’s art. It moves you, it’s not done to sell copies, it’s not done to top charts. Its love for the art the create and they enjoy being a part of it.

Chimaria is extremely underrated. I had the pleasure of seeing them live a few times about 15 years ago. My band even got to play on the same stage as them. I hear they are coming back. I fucking hope so! 🤘IM DOWN AGAIN 🤘

During the creation of this album, Devin quit taking his medication for bipolar disorder for about a year. He wrote the Devin Townsend Band's album 'Synchestra' and SYL's 'Alien' during this period. It's my contention that this particular song, "Shitstorm", is Devin at his most unleashed, unrestrained, and untempered. Basically, it's about 4 psychotic minutes of unbridled rage.

That whisk sound is the sound of a high hat on a drum kit. You said you listen to edm and dance music which uses a lot of drums and high hats. I’ve never seen a music reaction where someone hasn’t heard that sound before but it’s cool you checked out this song anyway. If you listen out for the sound of a high hat you’ll hear in pretty music every other song you listen to too. That’s what I love about music you notice a cool element of a song and you can hear it in other songs too.

Lol why is this lady acting like she knows anything about music? Fucking wild that she's giving critiques to masters of their craft like she has any frame of reference. Then you got some dipshit interrupting the video like he has zero self awareness and thinks only of himself.

I think the genre is "Stoner Rock" or something. The raw, style they put into it... was PREFECT in my opinion. Definitely one of my favorite songs! I'll still give you a thumbs up, for saying your thoughts and sticking to what you like. That's what makes everyone different. Cheers! If you listen to it again, without stopping to talk, perhaps you'll enjoy it. Might even grow on you. lol

Looks like u need to listen to overproduced poppy metalcore from the 2020s, early 2000s metalcore isn’t for you judging from this reaction
