I'm sorry but the right writing of that noun is "Bergen", a large rucksack bigger than 50 litres capacity. Greetings.

@@gabrielferaud8360 Well Gabriel, you might like to do some research on a certain Norwegian gentleman who designed the original rucksack that led to him forming the first production company. The chaps name was Mr Ole F BERGAN and his company was (strangely enough) "BERGANS of Norway". This was about 1908/1909. If you have the time and you are familiar with the Quora platform ; they have a very interesting article about the nomenclature of the rucksack and the reason why both spellings are acceptable. Best of luck with your research. Additionally, for your information, British dictionaries very seldom include words that are the surnames of actual people, this might be why your efforts to find the word in a dictionary might be fruitless. Happy Trails !

I've just got a bergan back from Dixie's Corner and it took 152 days (he told me 4 week turn around) he lied to me about my bergan every time I called up and it got to the point that I thought I had been scammed out of money and a bergan. Eventually it turned up and the quality is awful, he's used some cheap bright shiny plasticy MTP knock off and I regret not going to JayJays as I have plenty of their products and their reputation is world class.

Hi Christopher, thank you for your comment we truly appreciate them all. Our Zephyr compared to the Montane Featherlite are two completely different items. Although the concept may seem the same, our Zephyr is aimed at the military and is actually an item that would be suitable to wear in the field due to the Multicam print. Other than this, we feature a ripstop fabric making it more durable in any environment, it's also Antimicrobial, Water Resistant and has low IRR Signature, just to name a few of the main key features. The technology behind our new items have been a work in progress for over 3 years. Plus all of our products are designed in the UK by a veteran. I hope this helps you understand and we welcome more questions.

An Australian here and Ex Aust Army. Would/can you do these in either Olive green or Coyote colour?? I do a bit of Bushwalking now days in my 60’s and this would be a great fit. My old kit from the 80’s/90’s is long gone but based around same principle as what you have there.

American here. I really appreciate this video explaining the sizing and adjustment of this kind of kit. I was issued armor with a FLC vest so this type of kit is outside of my wheelhouse. For anyone in the US ordering direct from JayJays, they make the process pretty easy and painless. As far as price goes, they are a premium product but are priced generally comparable to similar offerings from other manufacturers. I haven't gotten the opportunity to really put it through it's paces. From what inspection I have done the quality is fantastic, it is by far the most comfortable load bearing system I have ever tried and that includes some custom cobbled together nonsense made from old surplus and high-end gear like spiritus, firstspear, etc. The MTP pattern utilized is noticeably different from multicam and ocp, that being said, the patterns mesh well together and at the distances these patterns are meant to hide you the difference is negligeable. For everyone's consideration: I am not sure if this is a tolerance variable or a standard feature but I am able to fit 4 Stanag mags per magazine pouch, the pouches also fit 3 ak74/ak47 type mags. Plan on trying sr25 mags whenever I get the chance. Edit: the mag pouches will comfortably fit 2 lancer 20rnd 7.62x51 mags. It seemed like there may be enough room to fit 3 metal ar10 type mags but I don't have any to confirm. Great work you guys! I am very happy with my purchase.

I'd suspect that a stitched-down belt kit would also be a small amount lighter and less bulky than a MOLLE/PALS setup of similar size, due to not having all the extra material between the belt and the pouch body. How much that is, and whether it's meaningful, I have no idea. Saving my pennies for some kit, though.

Yes, seeing it and the sizes on a 33 waist helps. I didn’t have an issue finding a large was my fit at 38 off the website, but almost went for a Medium because they were in stock at the time. Had this vid been made at the time I would not have considered the medium. Good job on the video and great product!
