Sir your knowledge on these engines are incredible. These engines are so terribly overrated I’m currently building a daily With the new Holley 2300efi. Looking for 200hp as a daily. I’d love to see how far one would go on a turbo setup but I don’t wanna throw money away just to be different however as a reliable peppy daily I’m in. What is the best keyword to part search online iron duke. Mark IV, fiery,s10, or something marine based?

Hello, I like your video. I'm currently buying parts to tune my 1980 L4 duke engine. (1980 monza spyder) I have everything sorted except new valves. I would prefer not to go stock. Do you happen to know the reference # for Manley valves ? I've got Manley rods with wiseco pistons. A comp cams top end rebuild kit with a street cam. Proform distributor. Headers. Gsxr1100 40mms cv bike carbs with a bogg brothers mannifold. Comp push rods. ARP studs. I feel I've covered all bases except valves. What performance valves should I use ? Any help would be welcome. Again, great vid. Anything on the cross flow duke. Thank you. Simon. I know I'd really like a sd4 head but have no chance of finding one in England
@mlong51514 жыл бұрын
We just use SB Chevy v8 valves , taking the guide's out to the larger stem size. 1.940 intake. 1.6 exhaust. Might be bit big for. The street. Manly valves are a good brand. Stainless won't break the bank.

More great Duke information, I ended up using small block small journal rods as well but had the rod widths machined down to fit didn't even think about having the crank ground to fit the rods
@michaelcook30756 жыл бұрын
If you mind me asking, how much does it cost to get the crank machined? Doesn't the flywheel end need redone, then the journals to fit the pistons.
@mlong51516 жыл бұрын
Michael Cook 110 bucks at the time, crank surface was polished debured before grinding.we use a flex plate flywheel from a 78 sunbird . they are the same 153 tooth as a v8 but fit the one psc rear main oil seal type crank
