Hi Simon, thank you and you are right. On YoiuTube you can’t find good videos which explains the different gimbal modes and when to use. Instead there are videos with 1000 tips but not how to use the gimbal models of which the setting is the starting point of every video.

Great video, im happy to have found it and watched it in 2024, while searching for fan videos of Lachlan's ride around Australia's perimeter. Its quite a treat to have such a likeable cyclist in the profession, doing incredible rides, accomplishing record times, staying humble, raising money for charities, staying competitive in MTB and gravel races, and encouraging love for the sport. Im incredibly thankful for all of his efforts. I was incredibly happy for him and all his fans with his unbound gravel 2024 victory. Vloggers were often tefering to Lachlan as the people's champion, and i think it fits. I think he'll have a long lasting legacy as one of cycling's very best ambassadors. Cheers, may you have many many great rides yourself ☮️

I own one similar to your green one and I like it. However, the smaller pocket is useless because once the main pocket is full, you can’t fit anything in the smaller pocket anyway they may as well get rid of this. Also, it is an absolute nightmare to open and close - particularly close - the main compartment and always requires two hands to do it. I use mine on a bike without internally routed cables and the cables do quite a good job of stopping the bag from slapping the frame! So I don’t have that problem. First, I thought it was silly to ride with a bag at the front of the bike like this, but I’ve gotten used to it and learn to really appreciate having the storage there.
@spaddon
@spaddon 3 ай бұрын
I totally agree about the front pocket- when the main part is even slightly full, the smaller pocket is unusable. Overall I just love having space to carry stuff on my bike- as I get older, I find my arms struggle to reach my jersey pockets- plus it’s just nice to carry more ‘stuff’ to made the ride more fun. Thanks for watching my film!

nice one.can you tell me about the lrf files and if i can create only mp4 i mean in every clip i have 2 files mp4 and same clip as lrf??
@spaddon
@spaddon 4 ай бұрын
Yes- the LRF files are automatically generated low-resolution versions of the main files, which the Mimo app uses to show you what you have recorded. They are safe to delete! As far as I know, there is no way to turn them off- so ignore them. I hope this helps!
@FfilmiauFflur

You forgot to mention that in Tilt Lock mode, the gimbal can act like a jib arm - you can start low and elevate to get some really interesting shots as the frame will always remain horizontal. Mount the Osmo on a pole, such as a monopod, and you can get some great sweeping shots. For me, I think that Tilt Lock is the best mode of the lot.

are you saying that the motor doesnt have enough oomph for steep hills?
@spaddon
@spaddon 10 ай бұрын
It does have a fair bit of oomph. But as with all bikes, there is a tipping point where the overall weight is too much for the motor to overcome once gravity comes into play. This bike is one of the lighter e-bikes on the market- a quick glance around your LBS will quickly show you there are a lot heavier e-bikes you can buy with the same power motor. However, as this one is designed to be ridden offroad, you will soon come up against steeper terrain than you would cycling around urban areas. And it is these hills on which you will reach the limits quicker. I hope this helps!
@AreWeDust
@AreWeDust 10 ай бұрын
@spaddon it does thank you. I'm in a right dilemma as I'm going to get an e-gravel bike but just cannot decide. Possibly the Ribble, possibly an Orbea D30 1x, possibly the Cairn Rambler or even the Canyon On 7. Probably too much time spent choosing and not riding.

hi, what were those mini tt bars you were using? Do you find them useful
@spaddon
@spaddon Жыл бұрын
Hi! They are Deda Metal Blast Extensions. They are quite good, and they do provide additional hand positions for longer rides, but they do take up a lot of real estate on the top of your bars (especially the armrests). I would recommend the Farr Aero Gravel bars above these, and the 'bridge' part does not take away any space along the top. I hope this helps!
