What do you think about React Native development for IOS ?
@angelzhelyazkov2 күн бұрын
"I’m considering stepping into iOS development, but my current computer is a MacBook Pro 16" with an M1 Pro chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to upgrade to the new MacBook Pro 16" with an M4 Pro chip, 48GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. What are your current machine’s specs, and do you think they will be sufficient for the next year or two?
@AivarsMeijers2 күн бұрын
M1 Pro is plenty for iOS development, especially if you are a beginner. If you have free money to spend and just want a better machine, sure, go for it, but you don't really need it. I still have M1 Pro 16GB 1TB SSD and am not sure if will upgrade this year.

I went with 14". If I need a bigger screen I just use an external monitor. But I do travel with my mac daily. Best of both worlds imo. Get an 16" if you dont have extra monitors.

I have both sizes. The 16” isn’t great for daily travel, felt always a bit inconvenient big. 14” I think is perfect for daily commuting/travel etc. as once I’m at home or office I dock it to external monitors.

There a a lot of companies using Flutter, and I use it for all my personal projects. The contributors are turning it better and better. Flutter is the unique solution in the market that can arrive to absolutelly all platforms.

Thanks for the video! Would you consider 1080p on 27-inch 4K? It looks good in terms of scaling but what about the UI size? Would it be too large as for a second monitor?

I am working on six 32 inch 4k monitors arranged in 3x2 matrix. Would suggest to anyone.

I was using Chat GPT for a while to assist in creating boilerplate views and solving simple problems. But, I have to say, Claude is just lightyears ahead of Chat GPT for code. It has created some views for my latest app that are really well designed. And as you prompt it to refine things, I always keeps all of the original code from each prompt which the competition can't seem to do. You should try it.

Will people still want to download new apps? From what I know, they already satisfied with what they already have in their phone, why bother to search and download new ones?
@AivarsMeijers16 күн бұрын
If your life is the same every day, then you don't need new apps. If you run into new problems, you will find yourself in the AppStore or Google search looking for solutions for your problem.

What do you think about AI impact on indie revenues? Do you see the market get too saturated because of the ease of making apps?

Building an app is not the hardest part of indie app business, getting sales is.
