Tell Old Bill- you pulled it up from memories of Mr Kelly's in Chicago in the 60s- thank you Mr. Mayor. You do it better than anybody else.

Love Tell Old Bill, first heard it in early 60s, I was a 10 year old little girl, who didn't know what a hurry up wagon was, and was afraid to ask. Thank you Eric, you are the best. ❤

Can anyone help me find how he plays this song?
@aztiff5 жыл бұрын
He used to play all the open mics at The Speakeasy on MacDougal in the 1980s. He once played a parody of young female folkies titled something like "I'm so fucking sensitive" and it sent a couple of them headed towards the exit crying.

Heh. Back in his San Francisco daze ('67) we knew him as Blind Erik Flatpick and Ragtime Erik Fingerpick. He was already a brilliant guitarist. Wish I could still play all the stuff I tried to steal from him.

Great to see these two playing this song together, kind of like what one of Llewyn Davis's performances with his singing partner must have been like :D although this was obviously not a polished performance, the harmonies were a bit off and the lyrics of the last verse were forgotten... Still, nice to hear Oscar Isaac on the high harmony (beautiful!), and I love the bass notes on the guitar- probably a mundane thing to point out but I don't play guitar so it's all a little mysterious to me :D

Hello Damian. The name of Kristin’s song here is ‘Higher Mind’. I also have her performing this (and others) at Caffé Vivaldi on my page, with maybe a little better video and not all the picture jump. Best of regards. Tom kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqWUiXyKa9qSpsk
