What about the little gaps where the washing detergent went inside? The silicone will never stick to those. This method is pretty but only until the gaps start filling up with water and then turn to mold.

You made my day. For years it was a nuisance for me since I couldn’t reach the back side of the toilet. Sooo easy… if you know how to do it

Please wear a mask, the chemical reaction of mold/bleach/vinegar is really toxic.... white vinegar and baking soda is the safest...leave the room after application and come back later and air it out... keep your mask on! Avoid the thrill of combining random chemicals and stay safe...

Not good. It may look OK, but the silicon does not stick to the surface you have sprayed the detergent on. This technique leads to spaces under the silicon for mould to grow in.

Thank you this was a total mystery to me as an older woman, and apart from 2 lights that are over the staircase, I probably can do them all myself! No comment on how stupid it is to have two lights above a staircase that can't be reached without specialist ladders etc., but that's another story I guess.

If the seat is loose. tightening is not going to work. the plastic butterfly piece is worn off and need renewal. Buy a spare set before removing the screw and nuts set
