@downtheroadtravelchannelАй бұрын
I'm using a brake buddy because I wanted something I didn't have to install. And wired a charge line and lights using the kit from eTrailer. So far no issues other than the 1 time it thought it was in towode but wasn't
@downtheroadtravelchannelАй бұрын
Had my first issue with the maverick. It thought it was in neutral tow but was not. Everytime I shut off the key it returned to park so I couldn't tow it. All I had to do was disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 seconds and it corrected itself. Kept an eye on it for the 8 hour drive and had no additional issues. Some people reporty having more severe issues and needing to take it to the dealer to have repaired. open.spotify.com/artist/3stK4ZNwWvqHFvsZs8e6ll?si=_1FcjwXEQXO1wk7Y7g1SCA

@@downtheroadtravelchannel You seem to pretty knowledgeable on ebikes in general, do you have any recommended battery replacements for the racer? So glad im able to remove the battery now, but I want to invest in a backup battery and I'm not sure where the stock battery is purchasable from. So im thinking of just picking up a battery on amazon or something but I don't want to buy something not compatible. Appreciate the videos!

Most looked pretty level but you may want some type of blocks just in case. Since the sites are gravel you never know

Hi! I was curious about what is and is not included in the 364 acres, so I used Google Maps to measure. For my first attempt, I tried to measure only the parts that I personally think would count as "amusement park" and it was about half what I expected. For my second attempt, I tried to measure the entirety of the head of the peninsula, and I included the marina harbor (water) acreage and the residences adjacent to the main parking lot. 425 acres. Since that was too big, I eliminated the harbor and I eliminated the private residences. 370 acres. So, I'm pretty sure they are counting all of the earth (dry land) at the head of the peninsula, including all parking, hotels, support buildings, water park...everything they own of dry land!

Okay you talk a good game about the roller coasters but not once did you mention the crazy size restrictions to ride the coasters. If you have a 40 wrist or greater you will have an impossible time trying to ride the coasters..... The seat belts are too damn short. I would not go to CP again.

Thanks for the video. I just took delivery of our 2024 Hybrid Maverick. Same color as yours and yes the orange trim inside is weird. Would you mind elaborating on how you ran the charge line for your brake system and the Maverick battery?
@downtheroadtravelchannel5 ай бұрын
Ran it from the center of the 6 pin directly to the battery under the back seat, I've also seen people say they ran the charge line to the jump post under the hood. Check out eTrailer's installation video, it explains better than i can www.etrailer.com/tbwiring-2023_Ford_Maverick.htm

Great video, thanks for sharing this. I am considering doing this to my 5th wheel. Were there existing holes in the new refrigerator for those l-brackets and straight brackets you put on or did you have to make holes? I'm a little hesitant to put holes in a new fridge. Also did you need to remove the leveling feet from the bottom?
@downtheroadtravelchannel5 ай бұрын
For the straight brackets I used existing holes for switching out the door side, etc, the l brackets I had to drill, and there were some holes in the frame I used to attach it in the rear. left the leveling feet on and the latch fit exactly where the holes to switch the door goes.

UPDATE: We're back at camp cedar on the other side (loop 100) and getting full sun on the broad side of the RV, on black top and water is heated in the hose before it reaches us so the cold water isn't much cooler than the hot, and on the street side we got headlights from people leaving the other side all night & we had to do the U-turn to get to our site. The good: it's the smaller section so quieter, check in booths are open, there is a bath house on this side, and you can't beat the proximity to King's Island. As I say in the video this place is in desperate need of taller shade trees. At an average of $94/night, you really need to weigh pros and cons to decide if this is the right place for you

Thanks for the video. I have the same roadmaster setup. The guy who put it in said it was the easiest setup he ever did. I use a patriot brake pump and use a separate power battery setup for the brake. Because the brake would shut off when the 12 volt plug in the Maverick would shut off. Glad to hear about the key position. It confirmed what I was doing. Only thing left to solve is the Maverick battery drain and the vehicle going out of tow mode. It hasn't happened yet but I haven't driven my long 500 mile a day rides yet. By the way nice Baystar I have a 2015 Canyon Star.
@downtheroadtravelchannel6 ай бұрын
We went from Nashville to Disney with no drain issues and have the brake buddy wired directly to the battery. Do you have a charge line installed? Of course I'm also a bit paranoid and every couple of hours stop to stretch our legs and start the maverick. Thanks post a pic of your canyon star, I'd love to see it.

Thanks for the video, tremendous help. I just purchased a 2024 Maverick hybrid to tow behind RV. Will pulling behind an rv do any damage to the vehicle brake system if there is no supplemental brake system on the hybrid. I pulled my old Jeep Wrangler with RV and never had any issues. If you have any information, I'd appreciate it and thanks again for this video.

I have the same flat tow setup and after towing I had the check engine light come on. I was told to pull the after market fuse out when not towing it to prevent the drain as it draws about 0.1 amps all the time.

The drinks and breakfast was good the pizza you sad was warmed up there wasn’t served until 10 o clock at night as it was supposed to but instead just until 9 o clock that was bad service from staff and Moxy Hotel.
