You are 100% on the Chinese mentality - operating a company in HK that also straddles China has revealed similar challenges when travelling / hiring / submitting applications for staff transfers and especially if they are not of the lighter persuation. I am aware at the highest Zim levels, China is deemed all or fair-weather friend; but it does not translate from their own perspective with Africa unfortunately. Thanks for telling it raw and providing some insights for young Zimbabweans and Africans with the idea that all that glitters in China must be gold because it is not, and the challenges of catchup job wise in Zim. Consider your options carefully is the message I would hope your message is taken as. Wishing you all the best back in Zim
