How do you connect speakers? Or do you plug it in to your stereo? Any help would be much appreciated. My home stereo is a Denon rcd-m37 dab.

You need to connect this to something with an amplifier or at least powered speakers. You can do this via the connectors on the back. You can also use headphones via the socket on the front.

I was going to get the Majority Tuner, I had one before but I need a CD player too rather then having to rely on my PC one as My Sony Blu ray needs an HDMI channel on its own and that means I can't have the PC on while am listening to a CD so be nice to have a built in CD player too, less wires and plugs the better. My only grilpe is the CD player dosen't have a drawer in case it gets stuck inside.

My first impression of this turntable was excellent, especially for the ease of capturing to a USB flash drive. HOWEVER, with further use, a very annoying problem became apparent. The audio when playing a vinyl record seems to cut in and out abruptly when the volume is low. So, if the audio on a given track fades in or out gradually, then a very abrupt start or stop is noticed in the audio playback, sometimes resulting in a complete word or part of a word at the start or end of a track being chopped. This can also happen during low volume sections WITHIN a track, or when there is no background music, or very low volume background music, eg during a spoken section of audio. The problem can be confirmed by touching the stylus when not playing a record .. on first touch of the stylus with the finger, no sound is heard, but touching again within a second results in a sound being heard from touching the stylus. I'm not sure if this is an intended "smart" feature, or a problem with my specific turntable, but if the former then it is STUPID rather than smart and has really disappointed me with this product. On the positive side, the "cut-out" doesn't seem to be apparent on the recorded file on the USB flash drive .. it seems that it is "only" cutting out the internal speakers or amplifier, but still very irritating.

For anyone wondering if the telescopic DAB/FM aerial can be removed to plug in an external aerial, yes it does unscrew. It leaves an F connector female socket.

Looks interesting, questions: Which quality (mp3 rate) does it convert vynil to the USB stick ? It think below 192 kbit/s it does not make sense for my purposes,,,, Can you tell me that ? As I understand I just my USB Stick there and can directly record mp3 ?

I have the HIFI500 in the US. Can the speakers be upgraded? It was advertized as 60W but looking into the rear ports the magnets are labeled 10watt 4ohms. Does this unit allow for upgrading the speakers?

Sorry if the audio was not great. The bass was very solid and added to the visuals well. Not overpowering and there was not rattling from the unit when pushed to a high volume.

I have the Fitzwilliam 1 which is great for internet but does not pick up DAB or FM is the 3 better at connecting to DAB

I had no problem at all and am in an area where FM is not great. DAB signal was pretty solid.

There is a wizard that guides you through connecting over wifi when the unit is first powered up. You can also access the settings through the menu to change them at a later date.

Having recently bought this (£120 reconditioned model on ebay) I am very pleased by its features and performance which are superior to other Majority Audio devices I own. I play music on it via a USB flash drive and it handles those files well with little delay in reading the drive or individual tracks. The operating system is designed better than those other Majority devices, so it seems they've been learning.

Yes, it is a very capable device. Works well with Bluetooth speakers or a receiver/amp and I have used it with both.

An advance over the other older Majority devices I own is the scroll knob which enables a swift, er, scroll through a long list of internet stations, or through the set of music files I store on a USB flash drive. It also seems to play a selected station faster, too, with less time for buffering.

I've just ordered these speakers, but I'm a little confused by the cable that connects the 2 speakers together: A couple of reviewers have said it's an aux cable, but it looks more like a single RCA cable in both the pictures and videos I've seen. I'm probably going to need a longer cable than the one supplied, so if someone can confirm if it's RCA, or 3.5mm Aux, that would be great. Thx.

Hello. Nice presentation! I just bought these on Amazon for 70 euros, and the description says they can handle Dolby Atmos. Can you choose the Home Theater Atmos on HDMI, or does it only allow 2-channel compressed Dolby Atmos mode? Another thing I'd like to know is if it's possible to plug this into the Nvidia HDMI port on a PC directly into a free port while using the DisplayPort for your monitor."
