Thanks for the vid, long nose pliers did the trick for me, I just needed to know if it was vw where you can replace the handle without removing the door cards, I also lubricated the window reg and it is working like new

This was a big help. My situation was the childproof lock was on and the outside handle was broken. So the door was locked from the inside and outside. The inside panel is impossible to get off from the inside without damaging some or all of it. Since the handle was pau I cut it off carefully from the outside with a cutoff wheel. Then you can get into the door to pull up the latch mechanism. Worked well. Recommended. It was quick to cut and if you're careful, you can save the rubber gaskets if you need them for the used or new outside handle assembly. My 1990 760 2.3 turbo wagon has same mechanism. Thanks again for your help.

Thank you! Mine only opens from the inside, is that the same problem? If it is, what do you call the broken part so I can buy it?

Going into my first drift event in a few weeks and was wondering if you got some pointers on how the 318ti handles I got one myself but with a welded diff instead of a lsd, wondering if the car is super hard to get to slide out and if it is really tail happy when it does. I’m on some maxspeedingrod coilovers

Nice skills! Whats the setup on the car, beside the obvious weight reduction :D (diff, angle kit, engine mods, coilovers...)? Keep it up!

@@orangeg00se15 awesome, I have an e36 compact myself with m43b19 engine in it (105 hp) and a factory LSD 25% (it used to be 25% back in the day 🤣). Goes sideways but could be better, I'm still lacking skills.

Hey, Did you get rid of this? I've been considering picking up a 318ti as my first drift car, and your videos have been really inspiring. Figured I'd ask if you'd do it again?

i sold it at the beginning of 2018 when i got a good deal on a miata from a friend. another friend of mine has this car now and he should be drifting it this year. i'd definitely recommend them as a first drift car. just get coilovers instead of lowering springs to help minimize the body roll. i wish i had done that with mine

@@orangeg00se15 thanks for the input! Did you ever feel like you had issues holding drifts due to lack of power? Was the LSD you had in the car stock? I love your videos by the way. Keep up the good work!

@@Mikesaid1 thank you! i think the power that it had worked for 95% of the drifting i wanted to be able to do. i didnt feel limited by it. and yes the lsd came stock in my car. ive driven a 318ti with welded diff as well, which i also liked

Unfortunately there is a clip on the inside of the lamp that prevents you from removing it like this that easy, unless you break it or have it broken already. The lamp was not shown how secure it remains afterwards, but other have resorted to gluing it back. So do this at your choice.
@driline
@driline 5 жыл бұрын
Exactly. My lamp will not pull out like that unless I break it loose.
