Quick question.. I was late paying a Wells Fargo student loan payment in 2019.. they sold their student loan accounts during COVID to another company so it says that my WF Student Loan account is closed so that hit my credit and the fact that I had a late payment through them. Should I write them a letter asking them to remove the late payment since I dont even have the account anymore or should I dispute it?

Great tips! I just closed on a 1920's Craftsman bungalow a couple weeks ago. I moved to the midwest three years ago for a couple of reasons, both personal and financial. My landlord in New England kept raising the rent so I researched areas of the country with the most affordable housing. I gave notice at work and took a bus to Boston from NH and then Amtrak to Toledo OH. I holed up in a motel at a weekly rate for 2.5 weeks while I shopped for an apartment and toured the town. I applied for an apartment that I liked online with my son and our roommate. I put my roommate in contact with a manager of a Toledo restaurant chain that they worked for in NH and they were able to get an offer letter for a transfer. My son is on a fixed income. We were approved for the apartment. I took a Greyhound back to NH, gave notice to our landlord, and drove a rental truck packed with our things back to OH. I took a job with the apartment complex after we moved and received a good rent discount on top of my pay. After a year our roommate decided to go back to NH. My son and I decided to buy a house and I worked hard for another two years to get my credit score where it needed to be. I watched the listings for houses for a year. As soon as I hit my 2 year anniversary at work and had a pre-approval letter I booked a tour of a house I had my eye on. It had a 7 year old roof, new central air and furnace, new circuit breaker and wiring, and all new vinyl tilt windows. Quiet neighborhood 2 miles from work. 70,000.00!! Never in New England could I find something with updates for that price. My offer was accepted and it's mine. Plan and position yourself for success! Good luck🎉!

This!!! A $20 blind, you know the cheap, standard, blinds... my landlord charged us $200 for it. Like huh?! A knob. Literally a knob, was $150. I can't with landlords. Our rent is increasing by $200. Like huh?! Why is my rent going from 1400 to 1600. The way rent is going up, hell you might as well buy.

This is fantastic, ladies! Just make sure that you have money set aside for the repairs. When things go out on you, you have to buy the water heater, furnace, and air conditioner or central air unit. You will be out of $20,000.00 or more. The roof itself is $50,000. You can always learn or take a class to learn repairs. So, she is giving excellent advice. Happy house hunting! 😅🏠🏡🏠
