I really want to do an oot Zelda cosplay but I have a lot of questions. 1. How did you make the front and back parts? 2. Would modge podge work instead of glue? 3. Do you have any ideas on how I can make the crown for oot Zelda?

Hello! 😄 1. The front and back pieces were made using a foam base (I believe I used a yoga mat layered up and then carved the design into it. Then I covered that with worbla. 2. Typically I only use Mod Podge as a sealant since it isn't the sturdiest glue for these types of projects. 3. It really depends on how you want to make it. You can use craft foam, you can use clay (I did mine with oven bake clay and sealed it with resin), you could make the whole thing with resin too, there's also 3D printing if you have access to it! Just make sure whatever method you choose, you follow safety protocols. 😄 I hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions and I will get back to you as soon as I can! TBH I liked the cake dress for Rapunzel and her casual dress. I think her final ballgown is actually a mess, mostly because the sleeves bother me, the open part on the bodice doesn't match the color or the width of the skirt. Also, the cake dress (which I always thought of as more "American South" but whatever) fits the fact that it was a COSTUME ball better.

I love seeing someone appreciate the cake dress; although it's not my personal favorite, I do like how it seems like it could be referencing the Barbie cakes (the ones with an actual doll in the middle of a cake) or at least it makes me think of them haha. As for her finished dress, I definitely agree with the sleeves. The Barbie that was released definitely has the better version of the dress. The sleeves fit better with the design and they added the rose on the bodice which pulls it together so much better. ♥

THE red and white dress (the first one) is an edited version of Barbie's Holiday 2008 dress. It's actually white in the movie, someone just took that fan recoloration and assumed it was legit
