I have the same exact issue. I also use 5600x and it doesnt matter if I use max settings or lowest setting, I still get same the same average fps. Hell, I even tried 1080p vs 1440p. Same. Exact. Frames. Maybe it is the 5600x cpu. Did you find any fix or anything else?

@@MegaBeanHead0 Not yet i havent i plan on getting a 5900x and a bigger psu. Hopefully this will fix my issue. Theres no reason my 3090 should be getting me the same frames as my 3060. Its only on D2 as well any other game theres a huge difference.

@@jeezusgarcia4255 from my research, destiny is just a really poorly optimised game. So the 5900x will probably be enough to fix the frames. Lets just hope it does lmao.

@@MegaBeanHead0 Yea thats what i got too from searching around. I was debating the X3D Vs 5900x but i think id prefer the work load over the extra gaming performance personally. I'll pray that it improves performance on this damn game lmao

@Apex Animal is this in crucible? i play on 1080p with a 3090ti and a 12900k and i get bout 165ish in cruc on max settings and when i put it on the lowest settings or medium etc the fps is about the same

@Apex Animal nah mate everything is normal in nvida control panel settings, im running a 240hz monitor at 1080p no matter what the settings are on wether its completey low, medium, high or ultra the frames roughly stay the same i barely get 200 fps anywhere... my 12900kf is stock same with my suprim x 3090ti. I've seen other videos of the 3090ti getting the same frames, alot if threads on forums are saying the game is poorly optimized... runs better on older hardware but not to sure? Cpu runs at 5% usage and gpu is between 30-50% usage and all.my games run off a ssd. My other games i run it smashes fps apex at 290-300 maxxed out

Mate a 3080 should crush 1080p 240 hz

@@jebhank1620 the 3080 can't do more than 190-200fps at 1080p in crucible, must be a bad optimization of the game. as a 240hz monitor user it's disappointing so i'm going to opt for a second 1440p 165hz monitor to better squeeze the graphics card.

Honestly 1440p at 165 hz. The game doesn’t like to run much higher most of the time. But a good player will always be a good player even at 1080p 60.

@@Hotrod9296 I understand, I consider myself a very good player in pvp thanks to the private ones that we play with other clans and scrims rules, but I feel like I am wasting my hardware with the game running at 170-190 fps having a 1080p 240hz monitor, but then playing at 165hz and 1440p maybe give me a better impression based on your experience, right? I've never tried a game at 1440 and I don't want to be disappointed.

It’s all personal preference but you may notice the difference in frames too.

You may have a faulty GPU or you have too high of an over lock or it’s the driver. Or a combination of the 3. I hope you find out what the issue is.

@@MomImSus I7 9700k overclocked to 5.0ghz. I have managed to get 30 fps more now. I play 1440p and get consistent 144fps . But micro freezes and stutter without frame drops

I suggest you wait for the upcoming ryzen 5000 processors to come out but at a bare minimum 6 cores and 12 threads. My CPU sits about 70-80 percent usage. But if you just turn down your setting a little the GTX 1080 should be enough to push close to 144.

@@Hotrod9296 intel 17 9700 (not the k, it can't be overclocked) I've got one stick of the hyper x 15 or 16 gd ram. Game is destiny 2. Its a microstutter. Like the environment is jumpy. Problem only happens when moving mouse is involved

Try turning vsync on. If it helps it’s just the game. I get the same issue time to time.

Gotta play what you're good with. Faster load times and 130 FPS helps things tremendously.

Honestly, I'd REALLY recommend working on your M&KB game. It makes such a difference in accuracy once you get used to it. I grew up on PlayStation, but once I switched to PC my aim got insanely better.

2070 super or the regular 2080. Whichever you can find cheaper. The 8700k is what holds you back. Max I can get regardless of graphics settings is around 130-140 with my 2070 super.

It’s your cpu. Intel offers better frame rates in this game but not by a huge margin.

Cody Filek the reason is because Destiny 2 and many other games based on high detail and visual are processor based game. Thus why many games require a minimum of an i5 and recommend and i7 and higher.

Play me on controller and you’ll disagree. Going from controller to mouse and keyboard is extremely difficult when you’ve never played on it before.

Shawn Ch'ng I’m unfortunately CPU limited. Turning down the graphics settings yields the same FPS. So unless you have a 9700k or a 9900k, you’ll get the same results.

Looks like I have to upgrade my cpu too in order to keep up, if you're already being limited on a 8700k then I'm gonna be far worse since I'm on an i5 9400f, thanks for the information anyways, appreciate your help

@@SuperKorenman Its 2550x1440. I usually get around 90-120 unless things are getting really spicy on the moon.

@@Hotrod9296 About 72 average fps on medium settings and it stutters like hell and the average fps is over 2 PvP matches 1 strike running around on nessus and going to the tower. It's not the gpus fault it's the drivers
