I was born on the day of the tet offensive 17.9. Recently relived the tet offensive. Nobody was killed when you consider it's pronounced teet. The starved Me in the concrete jungle of Winnipeg. I was a 4th born child so 4 eg(g) where 4=IIII=IV(sealed together)=N the eg(g) hatched on the 17th so I7(put together become n) so I was also n eg(g). My name of Larry is pronounced Lare. So when you read GENERAL and general you see them as LAREIVEG and lareneg. So both are accurate descriptions of Me. Generals gathered in their Masses(Mass') where Mass' equals "M ass'" which also describes Me because M=(sealed together)IVI=IIII I. Generals gathered in their masses .... just like Witches in black Masses... Its so true!

All these “ My father’s uncle grandfather served in nam “ okay I’m the youngest one out of both sides of my family to join the Marine Corps in Dec 2010 in May 2012 off to Afghanistan and my family was worried to death. Idk who was more concerned about my well being my mom or dad my siblings doubted anything would happen to me until it all boiled down to me getting hit by a 7.62x39 round right below my right collarbone. My family was devastated. 1st Battalion 6th Marines RCT 6 5’6 foot 119 pound 0331 a decade and 2 years later yes.. my back hurts more than my collarbone area. Either way. To all of those who served thank you. I was only brave enough because in 4th grade when I seen the towers go down I was sad, mad, and just felt useless. War was still on and right out of high school I enlisted - SF 🇺🇸

All them young life's lost and many ruined. Billions of pounds wasted and still didn't win with all their military and arms. Vietnam farmers gave a so called super power a run for their money.

It is not wise to run through the jungle in vietnam, booby traps will present a tactical disadvantage
Spent some time there in 1968. Lost three high school class mates. I Will never forget them .Sorry our government did not learn anything from that action and sent more young men some still boys to Afghanistan and Iraq. Hope their family and friends can some comfort and peace?

I was 14 in '67 when my dad got back from Vietnam and we were posted to Amarillo AFB. The air base was closing in '68 and Bell Helicopter was to rebuild Hueys there (my understanding of the business may be faulty). So hundreds of Hueys were brought in and parked on the old air base flight line with tail booms, engines and interiors removed. They were just shells. And I used to ride my bicycle to the flight line and go through them. There were hundreds. I imagine they were all shoot downs. This was late spring '68 after TET. I remember the Vietnam war like it was yesterday because my pop had to serve there twice. Families feel it, too.

I listened to this band all the time growing up. My dad, a vietnam veteran, LOVED playing this music all day long, day after day. He loved it so much, i played it at his funeral at arlington national cemetery. I sure do miss him.

I lost an Uncle I never met, he was with 2/7, his brother was with 3/3, he did two deployments and the day I graduated bootcamp, I flew home, my mom picked me up from the airport and rushed me to the VA he was at, he was juandice riden and could barely talk, he was dying from exposure to Agent Orange, he grabbed my hand when I came in, and started to cry and asked me "why did you do this, I am proud, but I hoped you never see the things I saw" he died that night. I served 12 years, did 5 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan as an Infantry Rifleman, came home, and I understand now what he meant. I hope my son never joins, I dont want him to spill a drop of blood for a country that is only invested in a war for money and a war they intend to allow us to fight and win, not like they did us. Not make sacrifices only to pull us out after they realize they arent willing to let us do what it takes to win.
