Great video, I also filmed the wattle festival and caught the first transfer and the second last shuttle. I even saw me in the video. It's also great to hear a voice over for some of these trainspotting videos.

My special needs son loves trains 🚆🚋🚞🚝🚊🚉🚈🚇🚅🚄🚃🚟🛤 especially steam locomotives 🚂 like that one! He says he heard from a man named Steve Poole that when a steam engine gets underway it looks and sounds like nothing else that is why many people love them even though they are getting pretty old.

Its a shame she sits here rotting, this engine was pretty good when it went in there, legend has it (ive heard multiple reports that its true...not just from railway people but locals as i reside in Reservoir) that when she was first plinthed a local railwayman who lived nearby filled boiler via washout plug and lit her up to blow the whistle on NYE! Everything was promptly welded up after... Steamrail tried to get this loco at one stage, but the locals wouldn't part with it, they were happy to give them a J (no doubt same J that was swapped for 986) but instead of living, she sits there rotting away. We dont have enough A2's...

Yeah it is a shame that it hasnt really been tended to for ages, and it really should be cared for after all it did for the Victoria we now have today. and that story of the railwayman who lit a fire and filled the boiler to blow the whistle on new years eve was crazy, it wouldve been quite a shock to hear the whistle as it probably wouldve sitting there untouched for years maybe even a decade (depending on when it happend). I hope you enjoyed your time at the railway I’ve been volunteering with diamond valley railway since April this year and I’ve been loving it thank you for showing what we do when people break the rules as well so many people don’t understand just how dangerous leaning out like that can be especially since those trains are heavier than you probably think and are going at decent speeds
