You might be able to find a copy of Cisco Unified Communications Manager, online somewhere, and trunk the communications manager into your FreePBX. That way, you could fully use your enterprise phones, to their full capabilities.

do you know how to get paging properly setup with chan sccp? ive been banging my head against the wall for a few hours trying to figure it out.. any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately I’ve phased out of the phone community for now just due to life and interests shifting. I do notice that you’re also into fire/security. What ohm and wattage speaker can you use for the bogen UTI1(sorry if I don't make sense)

One question are you able to program the uti1 to dial a code to activate voice page

I noticed the voice evac going through the uti1 cuts out briefly at the beginning, this is because the uti1 mutes audio on the speakers when the chime is active, even if the chime is set to "handset only". Programming code 04 completely disables the chime to prevent the mute from happening.

is it possible to setup a code to dial on the phone to page?

I really wish Cisco had kept SCCP as a protocol option for their newer devices. I have just about every model they made, including a 12SP+, two 30VIPs, a 7985 and several 7931s with the funky handset. I've had an absolute blast with these phones. For instance, I've built quite the library for using the "help" key as a shift/feature code key, and have managed to hack apart certain files to edit the text strings as well as change the display font to one of my choosing. I've edited my 3g-tones.xml file to make the internal dialtone a single 440hz tone, and the secondary dialtone is the normal US dialtone (Cisco had it backwards in my opinion). I've also managed to open the signed firmware file (SBN) and can see all of the graphical assets and I have such an itch to get in there and revamp the old Cisco UI, howver, while I can open SBNs as archives, I can't write them back out. Man, what a blast that would be! At any rate, I love your set-up and thank you for sharing it with us and for reading my long comment. KPC ☎️

What you said about the programming code, it CANNOT disarm the system under normal circumstances. The ONLY time the installer code can disarm the system, is if it was the code used to arm it

I understand you can do a firmware update over wifi.. Do yo uneed to be an official installer with a certain credentials to get the update? Or can you manually do a firmware update from the setup menu?

What it on the t-r terminals? If I was to put a book shelf speakers that has a positive and negative can I put those wires inside the t-r terminals?

How do I set my tone for my bogen uti-1

The cool thing about that is that it's basically an android tablet so you could basically do anything on it if you hack the software

I also have a question I want to make a alarm system channel but was asking what is a good beginner alarm system to start with? I was looking into those Honeywell vista 20ps or the old ADT branded Honeywells.
